Hunting with black rifles and semis. Who here does?

must be a pretty special AR-15 to be hunting with it in Canada legally

Who said anything about Canada? Hunters need to realize there are closer and great places to hunt down south with the identical driving distances as going up North. Damn people need get out from under their rocks.

I do not hunt, this is a serious question, I am not trolling or trying to draw attention to anything...

My limited hunting knowledge came from local Ontarians who hunt. They have told me "you cannot hunt in (Southern?) Ontario with a centre-fire rifle which can hold more than 3 total rounds". So, with a Tavor for example do you have to pin a mag to 2 rounds, or go with no magazines and single shot loading, or was the regulation regurgitated to me incorrectly?

The BCL-102 is making me feel things I never thought I would feel for a black rifle.

I want to see someone do a lightweight build on one, and if someone successfully rebarrels in .338 fed or 358 win it will really pique my interest.

Don't quote me on that one, but I think it only applies to shotguns. I've been hunting with my grandfather's 30-30 and it holds more than 3 rounds

That's for shotguns. For semi automatic centre fire it is 5 rounds.

This is what the hunting summary, which can be found HERE: (
https://dr6j45jk9xcmk.cloudfront.net/documents/5040/hunting-regulations-e-final-aug23.pdf ) says
Under the Criminal Code of Canada you cannot possess any clip/magazine that holds more than five shots for a semi-automatic centrefire non-restricted firearm unless that clip/ magazine has been specifically exempted, pursuant to the federal regulations.
