Yup Big Bill.
I have the wool hunting jacket with fleece liner.
It's great but better layer up. It's a light winter jacket

^other that big bill

“than”

Good wool is expensive, nothing decent is made in Canada, surplus CF wool shirts are hard to find in larger sizes, they aren’t jackets

One reference I read said CF gear is still made in Winnipeg

Filson is the other traditional manufacturer using wool, but I don't think they were ever made in Canada

I am 6'5'' so military surplus does not fit for me, also, i want the red & black stripes print.

Big bill do not fit me and the wool is not 100% wool, a lots of polyesther

"made in Canada and at a more affordable price" made me laugh so hard!
That's an oxymoron. Canadian stuff is twice the price of the US, and about 4 times rest of the world.
And when you add 30-50% income taxes, I'm shocked anyone buys anything from Canadian places. Liberals and their agendas and approach have killed this country.

^ in a similar boat at 6,4, uk surplus has way more stuff than trying to find cf stuff.

Weather wool makes nice stuff but no traditional red/black. Filson makes tall wool in some select stuff. Some of it’s made in the USA most of its not.

You’re asking for something that dosent exist, price wise and others

Big Bill is 80/20 for most of their outerwear, they do make a set of overalls and one pair of pants at 100%.

You'll be very hard pressed to find 100% wool jackets.

Have you tried the 80/20? My Merino Cargo Pants are great.

Anian clothing in BC is another option. 80/20 wool blend. Wait for a sale and some good deals can be had. They have tall sizes. Fyi...wish they made their sleeves alittle roomier for layering....do consider that. I did hear they may be planning to do that as others haved noted the their sleeve taper could be a tad looser for layering when needed.

Filson also seem to have narrow taper sleeves on some garments.

80% wool is regarded to be a good mix of thermal ability and 20% other for strength and shrinkage control. May be worth considering.

100% wool is hard to come by. Maybe find some wool blankets locally and get someone to sew something up if you really are set on 100% wool?
