Husqvarna Sporting Rifles #### - ALL MODELS!!!

While Sweden never been a member of CIP, for either the X57 or the x62, the bore should be 9.00mm or more and the groove depth (diameter) 9.28mm, which means rifling depth of more or less 0.006"

Can anyone answer as to why some of these rifles have the "Sweden" crest stamped on the receiver, and other rifles do not? I've owned three 648s and not one of them have had the crest.

Why ? is a difficult question to answer... they did not roll stamp the Carl Gustav M/94 actions they used for the M/46 and also some of the FN98 actions. All of the early M/98 military actions have been scrubbed of FN markings too... All the actions they made themselves were stamped, though.
I think the main reason is that they didn't want to try to stamp hardened receivers, as per to do so, they had to normalize, stamp and re-surface treat the receivers.

In terms of parts interchange, how close are the dimensions of the modern Zoli rifles to the original Husqvarna Model 1900?

Well, the early zoli bolts will fit a HVA/FFV/CG 1900 they later had mofications on the bolt handle and may need to be fitted, AFAIK the Evolution does not fit the HVA/FFV/CG receiver, so, the bolts are somewhat interchangeable from Zoli to HVA/FFV/CG but not the other way. The floorplate / magazine box of the early Zoli are quite the same, the later ones can be made to fit with some work (but I never tried the Evolution and doubt it would fit). The Zoli stocks would fit the HVA/FFV/CG action but the later ones would have more inletting and for the Evolution, I don't think I would even try.
Also, Zoli still makes a Husqvarna branded rifle, it's more of the older style, but with newer minor modifications with less newer options...

It was Alain Combes for a while, but he didn't do much as far as I know. Now, it's Artisan Stocks and Gunworks in Ontario. I don't see much happening from them too...

They were only importing Zoli shotguns last I heard. We were talking with them about bringing the rifles a while ago but we had doubts the Canadian market wanted high end 1900s while we were still selling the original models at auction prices.

Here's something from my Husqvarna collection, I don't think this 1900 has been posted yet:

Anyone have a spare Husky folding rear sight in their takeoffs box?

Hi all:

Bill Leeper is finishing a custom version of a Mannlicher stocked Huskvarna Model 5000 (or whatever) with a replacement barrel and a Mannlicher stock made from a single piece of wood stock blank, unlike the original two piece Mannlicher stock. Bill has shown he's just as good at carving, inletting, and checkering stocks as he is good at building tack driver hunting rifles. I wanted at least one of my rifles from Bill to be stocked by Bill as well. He has used the original action from the Mannlicher stocked Husqvarna I gave him: everything else from that rifle is still in one piece awaiting an action to become a rifle again.

What I lack is the folding three leaf rear sight to install on the barrel; BUT, I don't want to pull the existing rear sight from the original barrel. Anyone have a spare rear sight like this you'd be willing to part with, and if so, how much?

If it is not in perfect condition, it would probably be okay: the rifle is chambered in 35 Whelan. Bill will be adding some metal and then regulating two of the sights for the jacketed bullet I will be using, and the third leaf regulated for the 250 grain cast bullet I use in my other 35 calibers.

Thanks all for taking the time to give this your consideration. PM me if you have something to offer.

It was made (assembled) in Sweden the 1990's for a Swedish a company named Värnamo Vapen & Sport. The barrels were S&L but the actions are suspected to have been Zoli. The model was called S&L 1990. It saw little diffusion and was mostly sold in Sweden / Denmark.

The action looks like Zoli, the stock doesn't look like Zoli.
