Husqvarna Sporting Rifles #### - ALL MODELS!!!

Nice late 4100 Davey, which caliber is it?
Now, as "everyone" knows, ours Ellwood Epps really liked the Huskies, he did many custom jobs and it seems (well,apart the P-14, maybe) it was one of his favourite actions.
Fromhis 1960 Catalog, a brief report of the first Canadian LEGAL hunt of the XXth century.
And, for those who may doubt, here's a detail of the rifle;
Now, THE question;
Is anyone here in Canada knows of or have seen one of these rifles around? - I mean, can one provide us with pictures of such rifles?
The reason I ask is because, with over 20 years of HVA collecting, I didn't see many of these rifles and I am now guessing most went SOUTH of the Border.
It may be one of the "Buffalo" variation and he even made a "Gun for the Fairer ###" (well, understand it as you want).... using the HVA action

I gave it away recently to a friend that has gone above and beyond for my wife and I. I kinda miss it already but I know it is in good hands
Here's a grandmother Husqvarna in 270 Win.
The Scopechief 4X with the Command Post lever under the windage turret cap is almost as old, but this outfit will still put three well under an inch from the bench.

Very very nice Ted. Just when I think I've seen the cream of the crop more beauty comes along. What load Ted if I may ask? This is a great thread and one I'm really enjoying.
MD, on the model 4000 in 30-06 I inherited, my Dad put on an after market recoil pad but I have the original butt plate as well. I plan to hang on to it but I did see one at the last local gun show. There's another show on August 22nd and if it shows up again, I'll pick it up and give you a shout.

Redfield makes a nice set of all steel two or one piece if that suits your fancy.
Good news fellahs, just back from holidays. Lo and behold a package at the post office. My 146 is safe at home once again. I fear I have made my way into the next step of being a gun nut. This is the stage where you start hunting down and buying back a select few you never should have sold.

-What will it cost to modify my bolt to clear a scope?
-How much to D&T a receiver?
I'd almost suspect it is cheaper to just get another rifle already rigged this way or swap out the receiver with a 648 C ring....

While I tend on using my (regresssing) supply of Buehler vintage mounts (because of their genuine blue), but there are plenty of good quality mounts you can use such as Conetrol, Leupold, Warne even the Weaver (Std and Grand Slam), S&K and others who can please you.

Actually, you have the answer. The cost of D&T a receiver (well, correctly done, of course) and to reshape the top of the bolt handle (or replace it) will cost you close from getting a new babe.

Here's a Husqvarna I picked up earlier this year. It is registered as a "Model 7000" via the FRT/CFC. There is no model number on it. It is in .30-06 US. Barrel is 21" and it is a very "featherweight" like rifle.
Haven't fired it yet but it came with a nice Leupold M8 4x scope:
