Husqvarna Sporting Rifles #### - ALL MODELS!!!

Hoosier,
These are not what we call "1900" here. The 1900 is a totally different action. What you are looking for are two heavily sporterized ex-military M94 or M96 which we don't really cover here.

Here mine

It's a model I believe #138 built in 1938. It was 9.3 x 57 but as been professionnally rechambered to 9.3 x 62. Bore is as new and chamber is perfect and smooth on the brass for reloading. Finish is slightly rough but I like that, since i'm not worried to strach it while hunting.

I use to hunt with iron sight only but I'm working ont the offset scope mount that is not totally operational right now, but should be by september, The scope is a vintage bushnell banner made in japan from the I believe the 60' it's a 1.5 x 4 x 20, It will only miss the leather cheek piece/ammo pouch, it would be for this winter project.

Shoot surprisingly strait with 286 grains bullets, I will try 250 grains accubond this year

It's my main hunting rifle now

Larry, your rifle is a model 146.
Military style FN M98 action.

Enjoy !

I went ahead and ordered S&K rings and bases for my Husqvarna. They currently reside on my 4100 7x57, which is the most likely candidate to go sheep hunting this fall. I am pleased with the fit and quality of these on the Husqvarna rifle, and with the extended front base allow me to mount scopes that in the past I was unable to, due either to short tube/mounting length on the scope (the B&L here), or not being able to mount a scope far enough back (Weaver 6x38). Though rather expensive, it is likely that I will order more in the future. The service at S&K was friendly, and fast.

And while I am posting here, a photo of one of my current projects. This rifle (30-06) came from a member on here, sans stock, and I have repaired, and refinished this stock, bedded, and fit the recoil pad. It seems a bit slow, but is very accurate with the 150's, 165's, and 180's I've tried in it.

And on a final note, I finally got around to chronographing the loads out of my 4100 .270. I was quite surprised to see 3106,3123,3050 fps for 130 Speer bt ahead of the Speer manuals maximum charge of IMR 7828 (a very accurate load in this rifle). Though I've been using this load for several years in this rifle with no signs of high pressure I wonder if it isn't a little hot ......

How is the stock design on the 1600 for recoil? It seems to have a bit of a drop at the comb. I'm looking at the .358 Norma....

Guess you're talking about the MC stock ?
I do have 1651's and they are not worse than any other of my hard hitting rifles....

Here is a few of mine, hoping to use it this hunting season, its got a Leupold base, 30mm rings, wearing a Leupold VX-R 3-9x40 fire-dot.
Have not fired it yet, taking good care of it, it is butter smooth and like new bore.

I believe it is a Husky 9000 although it doesn't say 9000 on it, it looks like it by the features, 1900 action, iron sights and oil finish,
not sure of the year its made in (maybe 69-70). Serial 371,429. Going to keep it for a while I hope, but would like to know more about it,
how rare it is and what it may be worth. Would love if Baribal would chime in, greatly Appreciated in advance :). Cheers guys, pics below

Beautiful rifle. It looks like my 270 I bought back in about 75 although mine has about 40 years of me packing it hunting.

Gixxer007,

The 8000 have a shiny varnish on the stock, while the 9000 is oiled. Seems yours is a 8000. Nice catch, some of the very last HVA made and assembled rifles.
The model 8000 was known in Europe as the model 1900 MC.

Hi all
I have an left hand FFV Carl Gustaf Husquarna in 6.5 Swede. It has a French walnut stock with ebony fore end. The pistol grip is wundhammer swelled. In really excellent condition Ser#624###. I bought it in 1975 and shot my first moose with it with a 156gr Norma . Very effective. Does anyone have any info on how many of these are in country?

as much as i enjoy going through this massive thread and drool over the pix, i need to cut the chase short and ask;does anyone here have replaced stock on their rifle? what maker/supplier and how hard is it to find a proper stock?

Impossible to say without pictures.... most 1900 have palm swell.
But there is a quite bit of 1900 in Canada and US.

I personally usually use original stocks for replacement, but used Boyd's ones on a couple of occasions.

Anyone have a low cost solution to adding optics onto a 46 or 46A?
Not sure if I want to have too much metal taken off the bolt handle to clear a modern style scope ocular bell.

Low weaver rings were no way. These pictures are with med height. Could only find 6 hole tactical yesterday, yuck!
Hoping tall rings will help a bit. Anyone hear of offset to the side weaver style rings?

Grinding the bolt handle root is what was the standard for scoping the 46, 46A and 640 (m/38)... the other solution is to get a modified M/94/96/39 bolt... TEC had some but you will need to check headspace....
