I borrowed a friends shotgun and did this to it. Think he will be mad?

As the title says I borrowed a friends shotgun and did this to it. He really has no idea about this.:D / :redface: / :mad: He is always borrowing my short pump action shotguns for when he goes into the bush camping for weeks at a time. He is not into hunting or skeet and for the most part never ever uses this shotgun. He is under the impression that I am just cleaning it for him. Personally I think it looks awesome! I even went so far as to get a trombone case off craigslist to make it that much more bad ass! I call it "PROJECT: T-BONE" for numerous reasons. Enjoy....

You know him, we don't. So you better know him as well you think you do. ;)

And I trust/hope that you were in fact certain that the old gun had no special value to him. I.e. not given to him by his now dead grandpa, or his first firearm, etc...
 
Did you test fire the shotgun post-modification?
I'd be upset if someone modified one of my guns without asking, not to mention if the trigger mecanism or safety is all seized up cause the guy decided to spray paint it... I hope you know what you're doing LOL. It definately looks great though.
 
I hope that shotgun didn't belong to his grandfather.

P.S.: Don't bother asking to borrow any of mine.
 
I am pretty sure this was actually his first firearm. Also he did tell me his brother gave it to him. As for test firing it, It did used to work, but the ejector didn't. I fixed the ejector. Also all the paint on the springs pops right off the first time you compress them. It is all oiled up nice in there now. As for the bead I was wondering if I should put it back on or not. I was thinking of getting a fiber optic sight but they are a few $$ I don't have for this project. We are really good friends though and I figure he had almost forgotten about this thing under his stairs so it should actually make him pretty happy. But then who really knows right? I find out on Sunday. :)

+1. The mods and paint look great, but I would still be pissed. At least until I cooled off and tried out the short barrel version. OP, you have more nerve than me, I wouldn't dare mod somebody else's gun without talking it over with them first.

Definately expect to hear of the outcome within the next 24 hours.
Were it my shotgun; I'd toss a shyte storm if it had come from the 'olde tyme' family. If however just a cheap 'ol s.s. beater .... well then, ... 'attaboy, you done me proud.'

Not to worry spenom, friendship trumps all. Time will prove that to be true.
