So instead of going to the range and shooting my Glocks and my SU-16 at metal gongs I figured I needed to test this baby on live targets. Pulled out my coyote calls jumped in the Chevy and headed out of town. Got to one of my areas and called a few spots and called one in. I got him in to 133 yards and pulled the trigger. The 55gr MFS did its job and knocked him on his a$$, coyote #1 w/ my black gun. Next dog I took was about a mile away and got to use the semi as it was intended to. This guy was doing a full run up the side of the valley@ approx 170 yards. Shot 1x and was about 2 feet behind, adjusted and shot just under, 3x was a charm and hammered him. He's now having a dirt nap.
I must have got lucky cause this gun is a decent shooter and best of all it loves 55 gr. MFS hollow points. The only thing I found with the SU-16 was that it was slippery, so I put some grip tape on the forestock and stippled my hand grip, mag release and stock extension lever.
Cheers!!
