...a .357 revolver for PPC; after our election, I doubt I will be buying anything for the next few years; so, at my age, that may mean no more new gun purchases ever.

How many others feel this way?

Not me just bought 2 more AR lowers . Trying to get the numbers up. Would buy a bunch more if I could find another good deal

I feel sad for you.

That's ####ing depressing.

My thought- Buy it NOW while you still have the chance to enjoy it. I'd be much more content knowing that I got every bit of enjoyment out of a sport that I could before some ###### told me I couldn't do it anymore.

A thousand bucks for a couple years worth of entertainment is a small price to pay in my mind, even if it is a total loss if/when the confiscation happens.

You might as well not buy anything for fear of a housefire, in that case. If you're looking to dump 'em cheap, I know a fellow named Mike who is always interested.

I am also done accumulating. Maybe that’ll keep the wife happy, not that it makes a difference. I’m responsible enough to make my own decisions without outside help.

Acquired more than enough to keep me happy (the rest of my life), both res and non-res during the run-up to this election.
Some great pieces (IMO) and at great prices too, from sellers who may have been panicking.

In the meantime, I’ll be encouraging more young people to shoot handguns and ARs.

They have other things to do than f...... around with a ban they did not care about in 4 years.
Don't be afraid of a barking dog.
Is not the fact they want to transfer the hot potato to the cities a sign of lack of leadership ?
The cities will then have to destroy the bridges, cut the highways and surround themselves with a deep ditch in order to keep them gunfree.
And naturally, street gangs and criminals will eagerly line up to give back their arsenal.
Or may be will they be afraid to do their business within the city limits.
What an idiot program.

No offense intended, but you sound young-ish. I'm middle-aged and have a very low tolerance for BS. Life is way too short for you to allow OTHERS to dictate how YOU should live. If you allow the "threat" of gun bans/confiscations to temper your decisions, then you'll be the poorer for it. We still have some freedom, enjoy it!

I, for one, am seriously thinking of putting together an AR9 project that takes Glock or Beretta mags. Could AR's be banned in the future? Quite possibly. However, I'm betting that we can draw it out at least until the next election. Remember, minority governments are not very stable. Gun issues might not be that important to them, especially if the economy tanks.

I also am afraid to go outside because there's a chance of me getting hit by a vehicle.

Holy $hi&*! That is the funniest comment that I've read today! So true.

Look everyone, if you were told that you only had a certain amount of time left before incarceration, what would you do? Party it up or go shopping for stripped pajamas?

While I appreciate sarcasm, it seems everyone else is made of money and can afford to gamble. If anyone thinks they are going to send a message buy buying more, a lot of people bought or built ARs; boy did that have a great effect.

I'm not saying I won't buy used; but until there is more stability, I am not going to spend $1000.00-15,000.00 on a nice, new revolver that in a few months might be worth SFA. If it plays out the way it looks it might, I have already put too many eggs in my pending retirement hobby's basket.

And BTW, I do shoot a lot; likely more than anyone else at our club; and very little of it is .22.

If you have the financial resources to afford that what you want go for it and enjoy it. No government is going to tell me what I can or cannot have because of a wannabe dictator says so. I envy those that did not comply when Bill C-68 became law.

I'm not going to spend my retirement in jail; and we would likely get a longer jail term than a street-punk that used a gun to commit a violent or potentially violent crime; remember it is liberals we are dealing with.

Called living and enjoying our lives. If you are soo much in fear, that they will be worth nothing. Just sell your gun now. Since you sound like you just need a excuse to.
