I would like to know what your absolute favorite firearm you own is.

I don't care about survival or SHTF scenerio's. I don't care about stopping power, or how much ammo you can carry. Just for fun. What is your favorite gun. The one you pull out of the safe and clean just for fun. The one you like, just because. Do you have any special memories made with it? Or is it just the cool factor that does it for you? Mine is simple. My all time favorite gun is my CZ 452. That little .22 is just plain fun. It's nice to look at, very accurate, and there's just somthing special about taking it for a walk. What's yours?

Using the criteria that you've set out, right now it's my Marlin .444. I like how it looks, how it feels, how it's very Western and how it's performed for me this year.

A very very close second is my M70 in .375 H&H. Also because of looks, feel, it's bigness and because of what I anticipate to do with it.

But make no mistake about it, I like them all, those I didn't are gone ;)

my favorite gun would have to be my m1 garand. i know her like the back of my hand. Then it would have to be my ag42 all numbers matching. both every near and dear to my heart.

My Hornet. Hands down.

Noise, blast and recoil like a rimfire, splatter factor like a centerfire and trajectory somewhere in between. A pound of powder will get you ~700 rounds, and she's cheaper to run than an HMR or WMR if you save your brass.

I usually put more rounds through her each year than my 22lr (last year excepted; 10/22's with 25 round mags eat a lot of ammo).

I've shot it so much I'm totally accustomed to it, I feel like a gopher surgeon with this thing. Precision first-shot head amputations :p

My absolute favourite gun is my Ruger 77 RSI in 250 Savage.
Took me 9 yearts of begging/snivelling to get it from my dad. He charged me a nice price as well...let's just say he was the owner of a NIB Ruger #1 in 45/70 when the dust cleared.:D
I don't shoot it much but in the late 70's my dad used to tour the western Canada gun show circuit displaying his 140+ Rugers.
Great way for a teenager to learn about guns.
The 250 Savage is one my dad took a shine to and used it for deer hunting for a few years, it's a sentimental thing for me i guess.

I like my BRNO 2-E as well, another never sell gun.

i have a feeling that its going to be my Norinco M14 when it arrives :)
in the meantime its probably this:

old Soviet TOZ-12 target .22 single shot, eats anything i feed it.
got just about the best trigger ive ever touched, its a crisp half pound, and no safety! wicked accurate.

not too glorious a gun i know but overall i have more fun with this than any expensive high-powered centrefire or tricked out rimfire.

Remmy 870

Right now I'd have to say my Remington 870 12ga is my favorite.

If I want to detach a retina, I load in 3" slugs. If I want to enjoy a relaxing afternoon busting clays without pounding the sh*t out of myself, I can. If I want to destroy stuff, I can, all while choosing the level of destruction I desire by carefully choosing the fuel .

For the versatility, the satisfying sound of racking the action, the manly proportions of it, and it's rugged good looks, it definitely wins hands down so far in my meager collection.

My Model 94 .30-30 that my Great Grandfather bought brand new and was passed down to my Grandfather, my Father and now finally to me. It's a family heirloom. It's officially retired but still shoots and works like a dream. I was "allowed" to shoot a box of ammo with it before cleaning and putting on the wall above my desk. I love handling it and holding it to my shoulder. It's priceless to me and someday my nephew will have the pleasure of owning it if I don't have a son. Family tradition dictates it goes to the oldest male.
