Ideas for Dominion Arms

I hope I'm wrong; but, I think Calicos were prohibited by name.

I hope I'm wrong because I'd like to have one.

Damn it, I think you're right about that too unless Calico put out a completely new design, and it doesn't look like they have. :(

I got too excited that they had helical .22 magazines and forgot about the prohib list.

Anything belt-fed has my vote.

Also how about some chamber inserts... love something inexpensive so I could fire 9mm or .45 out of a 12 or 20 gauge.
The ones from the States are so expensive.

I've thought for a while about what firearm would sell well here and be extremely easy for the chinese to produce i finally realised it would have to be a firearm they already have samples and drawings and maybe even tooling in order for the product to be possible for such a small market (canada) well anyways here is what i concluded on.

Either a type 64 or type 85 SMG in the original 762x25 or in 9mm para and of course semi-auto only. This would have no problem selling especially if it had the folding stock and a 18.5 inch barrel. (which shouldn't be hard as it looks like a straight thread-in design) Mags should be plentiful and pinning would not be difficult at all And 762x25 mags should work fine with 9mm. I think it is at least worth a try to see if one of the chinese factories would be willling to make a semi-auto only variant.

What does everyone think? more importantly what does Can-Am think doable?

Here is the world guns link to the type 85 h ttp://world.guns.ru/smg/ch/type-5-e.html

And here is the type 64 h ttp://world.guns.ru/smg/ch/type-64-e.html

I think this is one of the best ideas on here. I like the 64 for this though. The 85 looks like something confiscated in a prisoners room search.

Thanks, I agree the 64 looks way less.... sketchy? idk I just figure there is more likely tooling and equipment kicking around for a ~26 year old gun then there would be for a ~47 year old one... And one last thing about them is that because the origially came with that long suprressor i dont think they would look to bad with a non-res barrel

Not sure if this idea's been posted, or if such a firearm is already manufactured by Dominion Arms, but.......

How's about a 12 ga SxS coach gun for Cowboy Action shooting??

Well, seeing how we're all living in fantasyland in this thread, how about a phased plasma rifle in a 40 watt range?

I heard that the 50 watt range is expected to be available in june 2011. There is a lot of talk about it on the internet.

Yeah but they're never going to let it export from the USA... :)

I'd put in a vote for bigger Grizz mags (I probably have earlier in this thread). 8-10 rd mags would rule.
