Cheapest way right now is to buy an entire norinco m305 and take its receiver.

Yes, I wonder if anyone here has my matching trigger group # stamped 257 on the front? I would gladly trade the one I have, a TRW housing (Winchester hammer) numbered 975 for it.

I have trw housing marked 647. Close but no cigar. Good luck on getting somebody to trade. Im not having any luck

SAK medium barrel dated 8-83, marked NM...bore looks pristine!
SA Bolt
HRA Op Rod
TRW Trigger/Hammer
SWK Sight - H&R B7 base
All major parts marked #618

Finished # 2 last night. Light barrel (Sak) Chrome lined (barely looks used) trw trigger group,h&r oprod. Will try & get out after work for a test fire. Pending nightfall. I used a sporter receiver.

It assembled quite well. Minor fitment to the oprod. Bolt dropped in beautiful with light lapping

Just got them back from vulcan today. Got them parked as well.and im glad i did they look so much better now that they are black. And not the grey finish norinco uses. The grey just doesnt match up with the usgi parts.

Got my kit today. All parts look great except stock and hand guard are pretty much trash.
Haven't looked hard but have a Winchester 1963 barrel, hr trigger group, hr rear sight. Bolt is marked TT

How are you guys mounting your barrels so quickly. Local gunsmith is backlogged 3-4 weeks....

I don't want to shill inappropriately for a site sponsor, nor can I speak to his schedule, but Cda Post Vanc to Regina only takes 3 days, each way. You may not have a shipping box or CDA Post may not be convenient, but just saying.....It's also nice to have a guy that specializes in M14 builds.

The guys that are already posting builds have their own barrel vice etc. and are doing the work themselves...it's not that hard.

As mentioned, have the right tools for the job. I usually do Garand barrels and the M14 is almost a Garand!

Tracked down a barrel vise and wrench, bought a Norc donor rifle from a buddy, now just have to find the time to put it together, oh yeah and receive my parts kit
