IDF M14 parts kits picture thread!

Got my M14 parts Kit and very happy. Transferred all the parts to a new receiver and used a US GI stock. Looks great test fire tomorrow and looking for a scope mount and scope for the sniper stock

Anyone read Hebrew?

Probably doesn't mean anything or words are missing, just wondering if I should keep the writing.

Keep it. What's the harm?

Thanks for the pics. All looks great on that. And yup definitely an H&R safety.

IMAT...
Your build looks great The fun switch definitely completes the look. What scope mount are you going with? Is it Regular profile barrel or heavy? Your sniper stock looks in good shape!

The fun switch is a fake attached to just the wood stock Light barrel HR the rest of the gun is TRW. The receiver has no made in China or norinco marking .small serial number and m305 Probably going to attach a old steel weaver six power scope.

How did I do?

All the barrels have Excellent Bores, and all the parts Great. The Stocks have seen action and have Character. I'm doing Back Flips!

Here is mine! Got her yesterday. A real mixmaster of makers, but in great condition. Stock is in very good condition.

would be interesting to see if the electro penciled serial number parts can be re assembled into the rifle that the armourer assembled.

Yes it certainly would. Much better than scrambling several kits together to come up with matching part manufacturers but all armorers stamps mismatched in my opinion. One of my kits has matching armorer numbers stamped on the barrel, bolt, and oprod, but the stock and trigger group numbers don't match. Parts manufacturers are a hodge podge, but this is how true IDF sniper rifles were originally assembled.

TRW barrel (7790190 9 63 BM)
TRW op rod
HR bolt (traded for a TRW)
HR sight base
WCE elevation
WRIGHT windage
HR trigger housing

Looking to trade the trigger group for one with a TRW housing. Same for the sight base. Thanks!

you're only a trigger group away. wouldn't worry too much about the stock, it would match the receiver. a good armourer would match parts to fit, not manufacturer. you may end up with the best functioning sniper rifle.

Mine is staying as received;

SAK medium barrel 09-83 and stamped NM on the top of barrel, just before the front sight
HRA op-rod
TRW bolt
WRA trigger housing with TRW hammer

All main components are electro penciled with matching 3 digit numbers, I would never separate them!

Yes, I wonder if anyone here has my matching trigger group # stamped 257 on the front? I would gladly trade the one I have, a TRW housing (Winchester hammer) numbered 975 for it.

Rec'd Standard sets 2 & 3 today. One stock has some Hebrew, but both stocks were very worn, unlike the iron. Hebrew pic upside down
Both had awesome TRW barrels, one has no disturbance to it's exterior, except for a scratch near FH, it looks brand new.
