The ###iest handgun in my mind is the Taurus 24/7 in OD Green with the Tenifer finish:

I've done a fair bit of reading, and while you don't see them mentioned very often, I've read very good things about this weapon and the Taurus brand in general. They have some of the most advanced machining processes around and often make parts for more expensive manufacturers because of the quality & tolerances they can produce in large scale. They are one of the 2 firearm companies in the world to receive the ISO 9001 designation for superior manufacturing and marketing practices. To say nothing of their knack for building one ###y sidearm.

Obviously they make several other models, but this is my favorite by far.

Hope this helps you make your decision.

If you like the Trojan have a look at the STI SPartan. Many people will comment on how great this 1911 is and it also comes in 9mm or .45ACP. Shooters Choice has them for around 800. Freedom Ventures has them I believe.

I know you said Sig is out of the question, but have you seen the Stainless Sig P226 Elite with rosewood grips?....very ###y

You have to go with a 1911, you can change the look real easy with some different coloured grips, and there are lots of options out there. And of course that has to in 45!

4.25" Para CCW DAO .45ACP (C7 .45 LDA)

(this is actually a very nice gun, shot one at the local range and the double action is beautiful! and it was made before para left canada i.e. when they were still good)

Coldblood..............if you find something, let me know..........my wife wants something like that too ###y and a little bling............she has a Browning 22. buck mark, but she wants something with a bit more bang and a scope ! I'm thinking wheel gun, like a Smith 357 or 44 mag, my 460 is a little heavy for her and with a scope.................. well, to much..............Wheel guns are easy to take care of and some have mulit cal's..............R:d:

maybe a 460 with a 5" barrel!

Ability + Performace = ###Y!!!!

The ###iest handgun by far, with no word of a lie, based on the opinion of almost every shooter possible is..........

The one YOU shoot the best!!!!

I suggest VERY strongly that you realize that "###y" isn't about looks. Go to a range that has handguns to "rent" and shoot everyone you can. Shoot the best three a bunch of times. Then shoot the best two a lot.

If you find one that fits the best, points the best, loads the best in a hurry, and still is the best at the end of shooting when you are tired and sore.....

:adult: That's the ###iest one by far!!!! :adult:

That handgun in your hands, with your abilities to use it, makes it ###y. Everyone knows that ###y isn't just looks, but abilities and performance. (you know what I'm talking about *grin, wink* ).

I once bought a Sigma because I thought S&W reputation and a light gun in .40 S&W would be awesome and ###y. Soooooo wrong. I (me, myself) coundn't shoot it worth a mound of manure.

I want a handgun for Christmas. I want it to be the ###iest handgun I can afford. "###iest" pretty much takes Glock, Sig, CZ and Beretta out of the equation for me. I also want it to be super reliable, easy to strip, easy to clean, with great customer service to support it and with tons of accessories. As far as caliber is concerned - either 9mm or .45ACP. Thoughts?

If you feel like reading, here are my thoughts behind this purchase:
Originally I wanted to buy a carbine in pistol caliber - it was b/w H&K USC and Beretta Storm for me. But then I thought that for this kind of money I can get a handgun. I believe that both - the carbine in pistol caliber and the handgun - are used for the CQB and have more or less the same effective range but a handgun is lighter and easier to draw. Also, a handgun is quicker to pack when I have limited time to go to the range after work. With rifles and carbines I like to take my time and I usually will spend 4-5 hours in the range with it. However, I don't always have that kind of free time and I postpone the range visits until I do. With handgun, I think I will be able to go to the range more often.

Thank you,
coldblood

woooow my cz is daaamn ###y

S&W M&P in 9mm seems to be quite attractive to many women just visually. They have a few reasons to look at beside that - 1) lower recoil than greater caliber; 2) 3 backstraps to accomodate hand size; 3) if she doesn't like it much, they are good guns to keep and with some work will be very competitive in IPSC and IDPA :D

I have a baby eagle and of all the semi auto handguns I've owned I like it the most. It's a .40 S&W, not to heavy, 10 rnd mag(leagal limit), 4.25" barrell, recoil is not heavy. I changed the sights on mine and installed a finger grooved wrap around grip. Their not over priced. The new ones have accessory rails on them. If you want to get a carbine you can get a ger pc4 or pc9 in the same caliber to match.
