If CCW was granted, have you thought about what you would carry?

I'd carry my .50 cal biceps. Those are the only guns that I need on the street.

Your biceps are only 1/2" diameter? You must look like Popeye!

i think the sad fact is that we DO get less and less rights, we get more and more restrictions and tighter controls with higher penalties for exceeding them. but that's a whole other subforum.

back on topic, i'm not sure i'd WANT to carry. i mean, it would be nice if i was allowed to make my own f'n decision on the matter, but once i have it i'm not sure i'd necessarily carry all the time. i guess if CCW is allowed, then the size restriction would also need to be eliminated so that we can actually carry firearms small enough to be unobtrusive.

and in THAT case, i'd probably take the small Glock like a 26 / 27 / 30.

Of what I currently own, I'd have to go with the Beretta 92. I'm a large enough person that I can keep it concealed.

If I had a choice I'd probably go for a Colt lightweight Commander in 9mm

if we fight hard enough, with the help of the NFA and CSSA we could get ccw permits that actually get granted. my nads will probably sag down and touch the ground before that happens as the most important thing to "many" Canadian shooters are their hunting rifles, they really don't care about handguns and what happens to them, as long as they get to keep their shotguns and rifles, it's all dandy.

but, just to play along with the post, if I could carry, I would carry either a Glock 22, xdm3.0, tokarev in 7.62x25 :dancingbanana:

We can't even get the Long Gun Registry abolished how are we gonna get CCW passed? If the Liberals do call for party discipline I don't think the NDP will be far behind. And then we are back at square one. Im not counting my chickens before they hatch!

Another issue is that we are not even allowed to own compact handguns so CCW is a huge battle just to actually conceal the gun! Questar would be backordered for years for the Glock CCW options with the long barrels. Im not going to go ahead and buy one because I just don't see it happening. Not until the West Seperates and I move over there anyways. Bantario and Quebec will never allow it. NEVER!!!!!!!! That is the bottom line! Anyone who thinks otherwise is dreaming!

Nothing wrong with dreaming.......

If...and that's a big If ;)it came to be !

I'd carry one of my Commanders.......most likely this one !
A CLW in 45 of course

I would've said my 1911...but it now has an extended barrel and 2 port comp... so I would look like some action movie star aka stupid.

Probably a Sig p220 .45 carry elite two-tone with those nice wood grips....but that's just me. People tell me I am odd.

kinda like this: http://sigforum.com/movedimages/para/SHOT07/220_carry_elite_two_tone.jpg

As for why... I just like them. Holster? not sure.. Whatever is comfortable, keeps the gun in place, works how it should when I would need to draw, and doesn't cost as much as the gun!

However, this is all dreaming... I doubt this will ever happen...EVER... Funny that Vermont has ZERO laws for carry...slap the gun on your belt and walk. Same with Alaska.

Big power!!!

If there was CCW available and the 12(6) restrictions were dropped, I would of course carry a Ruger Super Blackhawk Alaskan in 454 Casull. That would allow me to shoot 2 or three zombies at once.

Other than that I would of course carry my G20, since 10mm is the ultimate defensive cartridge.

Prove me wrong people!!!!
