If You Had To Sell All Your Guns Except Four

223 xcr-l
Glock 30 .45acp
10/22
Browning bps 12ga
Tuned DA socom 18

I think I cover every game in north America with that list

cut down to 4 guns or 4 safes.

why would you ever, even say such a thing. now go wash your mouth out with soap.

In reality i could cut down to 4 easily......not counting the ones with memories attached. The ones with memories.......are never going.

Beretta Al303 12 ga with two barrels
Ruger Hawkeye 300 win mag
Rem 513 Matchmaster 22lr
Browning Bar 338 win mag

Unfortunately the ones with memories and sentimental attachment would bring me back up to at least two safes.

The "grab and run/house on fire" scenario, would leave me holding these three;

1. Browning BSS Straight English Sporting 20 gauge
2. Ruger M77-RS Carbine .358 Win
3. Ruger M77-RSI 7X57

Those choices are based solely on how long it took me to find them. If I chose based on value or usefulness or sentiment, the choices would be different.

If I had to sell all but Four...

1. Swiss Arms 551LB rebarreled to NR
2. H&K USP 9mm, would purchase .22lr conversion kit
3. Tikka 512 12ga O/U with 2nd barrel set, .308/12ga
4. Remington 700 Tactical .308

I figure this way I have all my bases covered, Hunting everything from Turkey to Deer with the Tikka, the Remington for long range stuff, USP for pistol shooting, and the Swiss Arms for Service Rifle.

If I needed the money then higher end guns would go. Two five-figure over/unders, a high four-figure sxs and a desirable bolt-action and quality scope would go first followed by the cheaper stuff that's easy to sell. I could get by with the remaining two semi-auto shotguns, a lower-end bolt action and a 12-6 handgun.

In case of immediate evacuation, the higher-end stuff would come with me and everything else would be left.

that will be a nightmare ...

think about our german fellow that can have 6 firearms unless they got a very special authorisation ... the reason now that blaser are doing so well just the action counts not the number of barrels ...

A collateral issue generated by the drastic arsenal downsize was about a dozen cannisters of surplus reloading powder originally purchased for rifles whose only remaining legacy is the indent marks of their butt stocks on the lined floors of our gun safes.
Just in time for the spring flower and vegy garden planting and paw is going to roto-till the powder into the garden tomorrow.
It makes great fertilizer and I recall the last time we got rid of some old gun powder the potatoes were almost the size of basket balls.

I have sold most of my guns:
WW AR15 16"
FDE FNX tac 45
Glock 17 G3
Glock 17 G1
M&p9
Ddm4a1 14" mil spec plus
Remington versa max
KAC SR 15 E3 IWS 18"
Remington 870 tac 18.5"
Mossberg MVP patrol
PGW Timberwolf
And a few others I cannot think of right now
I have my son's gsg 1911 .22 and my 858 left
I'm going to build a MK12 this yr for my son and then I'm done Buying firearms until the plasma rifle in the 40W range comes out.

Since I sold almost everything, the gun that I need to replace is the shotguns. I wingshoot when I hunt grouse and I hunt with a Cocker Spaniel so I need a shotgun. I was thinking of a Remington 870 Sportsmen or a new CZ Redhead Premier. The Remington I wanted to get the 5 shot tub magazine extention with barrel clamps. Have the receiver drilled and tapped. I don't put bases on it but just want it tapped as I have this idea of pissing off some old guys at VGC by mounting a red dot site on the shotgun and shoot sporting clays. I know there is a mount behind the stock but they're stupid expensive. Would rather pay the $80 to have it drilled and tapped.

Four, for sure:

- HK45
- Colt Canada "C8" (with four complete uppers - 5.56 IUR, 7.62x39 7.5", HKMR556 16", CC 15.7)
- Tavor
- 11" Vz58 in 7.62x39

...fifth one would be a toss-up between the ACR or the Glock 19...

If you are going to wingshoot over a dog, get a double gun, either O/U or SXS.

If you want to pay money to make a gun uglier and less effective, let r' rip...
