If you thought SKS prices are crazy here....

I have sold a bunch of SKS rifles over the last 2 years. Maximum was $750 for an unissued minty Russian. I was actually offered $950 the same day I sold it but a deal is a deal, I thought that was too much. But compared to dealers offering $700 or so for just normal laminated ones, that's just outrageous but some people seem to be willing to pay. People are also willing to pay $750 for a standard SKS in ATI stock - which is actually only around $150 and a decent non numbers matching one can be had for around $400.

I remember the good old days.

One Russian for $250. Two for $400.

That was around 2010/12 but that price has been there for years. Russians were usually much more and I always wonder where the ugly duckly rifles are which were common at the time. I remember one which was painted with BBQ and had at least 4 stock repairs. Nice shooter though.

2014 CT pricing

^ ^ I bought my 1st Russian - '51 Tula - at CT in 2014 @ Halifax for $160, and Russian a& CZ ammo for $2.50/10 on strippers.
