A blanket statement, eluding to be a fact without any proof. This is hearsay and not a fact. This amounts to trolling

Again a negative blanket statement present as fact based again on hearsay and ignorance. Statements such as these are usually presented by noobs who have absolutely no idea what is going on or who the players in the game are. The addition of :kickInTheNuts: and lol suggests trolling, this is an infraction and/or bannable offense.

In another similar thread recently the noob author put his location as Wendy's house, made negative blanket statements presented as fact. After he was thrashed for being a troll, he revealed he had no idea who either Wendy or Mark Holland were when it came up. Another new member became upset at the treatment until it he was informed as to why this had happened.

So lets look at how this post could have been written in a way to not appear like a complete douche bag and not receive the ass hats go in the ban bucket award.

This new post says the same thing in a way that may provoke answers and a conversation. The statements are now questions and it does not come off as trolling. I for one would answer this post instead of

That makes alot of sense. Alot of people write posts with alot of bad spelling and non words alot of the time. I think it would be funnier but alot don't understand the simple fact that alot of words are not in the English language alot on times :D :p :p :p

I did see the spelling. I would not have called it bad, or used bad as an adjective. The use of non words that may or may not be part of the English language is changing all the time. I did not find it humorous or funny, nor did I find the mistakes worth pointing out. I guess mine is just another ignorant response?
 
Awesome. I have heard the elders speak of them but never actually seen the preemptive #####-slap for myself.

I find that the CGN search option totally useless to a non nerd. If there is something I actually need to know or can not figure out myself it is better to just Google it.
 
Remember that the default setting for the Search function is ONE WEEK. You must go to the "Advanced Search" wording and then manually change the time frame to something longer, like 1 year or 18 months. Don't worry, everybody falls into that trap, not just newbies.

A lot of times people will give a smart-ass reply, as they would to a good friend, like, "What are you, stupid or something?" but for the most part it isn't meant to be mean, it just comes off that way because it's text.

Example:
Newbie: "Where can I find an 870 Wingmaster?"
CGN Smartass #1: "Did you look under the cushions?"
CGN Smartass #2: "I saw it under your girlfriend's bed."
CGN Grumpydouche #467: "Hey newbie, get off your lazy #ss and go look on the internet, you stupid lazy f*cktard moron."

See, that last one is an example of a bad CGN response. The first two are typical of what you will most likely get in response. So remember, not all of us are douchebags, but most of us still behave like juveniles.

Cause Trouble
Ask Stupid immature questions (sniper rifles, prohibs and others)
Can't take a bit of criticism
and as a general rule most people go thru some hazing... the Search function sucks but use it before putting your foot in your mouth...
There are lots of FAQs use them too
