Ignorant replies

A lot of new people come to this site every day.
They are new to shooting for the most part, are excited about starting the hobby and seeking advice.
Being new to the site, they usualy don't know all the ins and outs. It took me a while to get good at searching the massive amount of info on these forums.
Help our future brothers out if they have questions. If you aren't going to PM them with useful information regarding their questions or guide them in some way then you have nothing to say and should probably say nothing.
Especialy if you like to bring the ignorant, smart-ass attitude to the posts.

Don't sweat it, it's just timing. 4000 people on the site= 50 people having a brutally bad day. Plus, some people have no patience for newbies, we should remind them of some of the questions they asked when they first got here, me included! My first week included: "bullpup stock legal?" , "cheap sniper rifle?", and I think " .223 vs 5.56" on my question list. Throw in a "Best bear defence round?" and I'd just about have it covered. Don't use the ignore too much, some of the idiots are amusing, otherwise you wouldn't see this post.;)

Hi to all. I'm just getting started in shooting and have only been a member of CGN for a week. I've been going through the forums and gleaned a great deal of info already. This is a great place to learn. What I have also seen is a lot of people like me asking questions, seeking wisdom from those who have more experience than they do and what they receive are wiseass, rude, and ignorant replies from loud mouth wannabes. If someone is asking a question and you have some productive input by all means pipe up. But if you have nothing better to do that put the guy down and try to make him feel stupid so you can puff up your chest - keep it to yourself. Anyone with any level of intelligence is going to recognize you for the little momma's boy you are and ignore you and any input you have to offer.
Jagger.
Hey Jagger, sorry you've been here for such a short time and have had a bad experience like this already but I'm sure if you give it time you'll get to like it here, most people here will treat you with the same respect you give them and forget about the a-holes they're everywhere, I left another forum before finding this one for just that reason, as soon as a couple of members found out I was from Newfoundland they started with their stupid newfie crap I defended myself and I was the one that got an infraction, so I promptly told them to shove it and left and I have to say I'm glad I did because I found CGNZ and it's been an overall great experience here, I've learned allot here and every time I've asked a question it's been answered with nothing but respect, so kick back and enjoy the ride and as long as things don't get to personal just let it slide.

V:I:

I think if you can't be bothered to do a search to find an answer to question that has been asked a thousand times, you deserve to be given wiseass replies. This site brings out the best and worst in gun owners. Learn to live with it.

But then again.....if they're new to the site, how can they know that the question has been asked a thousand times. Search feature on this site leaves much to be desired.....

I say "ask away"

You will have a lot of fun here and the humor is a little raw at times. Welcome to the forums.

One last thing, if you start in about AK's someone will show up at your home with a kilo of salt, and a 12 live minnow's. . Oh yah that was another thread..

That's right. I have two points for "whatever the Jacka$$ thought I was doing wrong" Instead of pointing out that there was a better way to do it, you get "stupid points". I have been here since 2005 and have 42 posts. Why? Because I do everything in a PM with my real friends. They are respectful and don't ride you like a virgin because you asked a "stupid" question. (well, maybe a bit)

Point is, there are no stupid questions, just jacka$$es with stupid answers.

Enjoy.

Welcome to CGN. The search function is your friend. While all the wiseass, rude and ignorant replies are equally as useless as another thread about he same subject, they're often directed at new members when it's quite obvious you're either too lazy or ignorant to use the search function. Nonetheless, it's all part of the initiation and training.

:welcome:

Welcome to the wonderful world of GCN just ignore some comments sometimes we are a bit weary :D:D:cheers:
