Imagine the following scenario...wrt hi cap AR Mags

Therefore, new thread has been started regarding the .50 Beowulf Mags ;)

This thread seems to be going 2 different directions.

--Bolt action rifle with specifically made mag

--.50 Beo AR15 upper mags

Getting back to the original bolt action theme, if my small hole mag idea was paired with Notsorichguy's idea of an aftermarket stock and magwell for bolters such as Rem 700, can anyone see legal issues?

What if: robinson arms (or any manufacturer really) made a. 50 beowulf "pistol" with "ten" round magazines. Because 12 .50 beowulf cartridges fit in a standard 30 round ar15 mag right. So a 10 round mag would hold 25 by my math.

Okay so. Next Step. What do we do now?

Email Alex@Robinson Armament to make a short XCR advertised as a .50 Beowulf pistol?

Am I missing something here? Aren't .50 Beowulf pistols already available?

Just buy one of these, slap it on a lower without a buttstock, and register it as a pistol.

What about XCR Pistols?

If the importers would just register ALL their XCR pistol as .50 Beowulf, just to do Canadians a favour, is that going to float?

I certainly wouldn't pay $200 for the novelty of burning through ammo just a bit faster. Not that I agree with the mag-cap laws -- they are useless, and it's a shame we to abide by those rules when they clearly do nothing to prevent crime.

That said, I'm sure there are a few who would spend that much. I suspect that most of those people would be people that haven't had the opportunity to fiddle around with 30 rounds all that much.

Imagine I design a bolt action rifle in .223 remington. Imagine I make it compatible with 30 round AR magazines.

Imagine I get a factory in Eastern Europe or China to make the rifle.

Imagine I call the rifle the xt556. Imagine I stamp the magazines to say 30 rounds .223, for use in xt556 rifle only.

Imagine I have 250 rifles made (selling for about $800 each) and 10,000 magazines made. (selling for $200 each)

Would I make money?

No time to read the entire thread but there is a very nice rifle made in the UK that is in .223 or is it 5.56NATO and is designed to use Ar magazines. Don't know if they make proprietary magazines.
