Thank you for your input in regard to the word "weapon". I wasn't aware that things in Canada had slipped so far that terms that have been used for decades/centuries were being sensored by individuals who share common passions.
Just so that my opinion is known, I have, for the better part of my life, owned items that can be looked at as weapons. I've owned hunting knives, bows and arrows, rifles, shotguns, handguns, etc. In all cases, I was taught to respect the particular "tool" that I was using and to use it responsibly and for its intended purpose. Learning to respect these potentially deadly tools is, to me, far more important than what they are called. I can assure you that the deer, the moose, the rabbits, etc. that are taken in yearly hunts would consider the firearms used to end their lives to be weapons. Even so, tool used to take their lives was "in most cases' used for its legal purpose.
I joined this forum to have fun, to acquire information and to pass on knowledge where I can. I've only been here a couple of days and I already have some individuals who are trying to sensor me when they know nothing about me.
To mudgunner49, thanks for your rant. It was thoroughly enjoyed. To Camp Cook, take a look in the mirror and see if there is any way you can improve who you are. I've been trying to improve myself for more than 58 years, and I'm still a work in process. Also, at 58, I am no longer a deadly "WEAPON".
