Improved Canpar delivery coming soon

I just want to add that I contacted via the website form about my order and had a response back within an hour and a half. Thanks!

About time, Living in Vancouver I can't go to your shop but I have to trek all the way out east to burnaby to collect my products.

Great for you to offer paid options for those that complaint they do get options with free shipping.
Yes, in many places they are half the cost of canpost

yes, you can request it on anything but ammo

We will be adding this feature to the website on the new update

Not CanAm's fault you live in the wrong city. Canpar is great for the Burnaby folks :)

Ok. So I just received 1000 rnds of reloaded ammo. Canpar finally showed up 3 days late and guess what the whole cardboard box and the boxes inside are soaked wet. Smells like some chemical or windex bottle broke near my ammo. I took all the rounds out of the boxes and let them just sit loose. Can someone tell me if this ammo will fire? Or do I need to call Canpar and complain?

I will complain for sure. What a hassle these guys are. I don't know why merchants use them. All of the goggle reviews are 1 star and that's because ppl have to put 1 star to write a review. Worst delivery service ever. Stay away if you guys are first time users of Canpar.

^^^^^^ I hear ya.......I don't know why merchants use them either......all I hear is complaint after complaint there HAS to be other logistics company's out there that will ship ammo

I've had my ups and downs with Canpar/Loomis. But going fairly smooth now.. (knock on wood )
Seems ordering items fairly often they seem to get to know you ( that guy again)
Hopefully I don't get a new driver or shipping gal to screw things up !!!

So as of today Canpar is my #1 choice...

Can par guy that has been dropping off at my place last few time this year is great, I was actually shocked and amazed, he calls every time to see if I'm home, if not home asks if I'd like it dropped somewhere else, if just uptown he will wait a few mins for me to run home. Big change from the times when I'd watch tracking of my ammo circle the outer edges of the province passing me three or four times arriving a week later than it should have, showing up in a cargo trailer behind a 1/2 ton drivin by a guy whom I'm sure was responsible for keeping shoes with Velcro straps in production.

I've had several orders from CanAm shipped via Canpar... no issues. It's best if someone's home when the delivery guy shows up for the 1st or 2nd delivery attempt, of course. Fortunately for me, the depot is not too far out of my way to pick up packages that I'm not home for, and the hours are reasonable at the depot. Still, being able to have the package left at a drop off location could be more convenient.

The only way Canada Ammo can consistently offer the best prices AND free shipping is to go with the most economical courier, which is (for better or worse) Canpar.

Have also had good luck with Can-Par on orders from Canada Ammo and other business's
If these convenience store center's make it easier for other people to get there items , sound like a good idea to me .

Time will tell

I hope they will start to do this in Montreal area ASAP. It is a pain in ass to pick up my package. There is only 1 hour (6pm) available time to pick up your goods per day and far away from my home (almost 20km).
Also I tried to wait them at home but their delivering time are soooo variable, sometimes 9:30am, sometimes around 12 even afternoon. I cannot stay home whole day just wait a small package.
Currently I do my best do not buy stuff from Canammo since this.

My last CanAm order was parts only, no ammuntion or firearms (although there was a very small M16...). I missed the delivery and got the slip, so I called to arrange pickup.

Good thing I did because it was at a local variety store instead of the usual CanPar depot. There was nothing on the delivery slip to indicate the pickup location, although on the CanPar website it showed the postal code for the variety store.

So the variety store pickup was handier but it was not obvious, best to call and check. I presume ammunition would still be at the CanPar depot, not sure about firearms.

I've had good service from Canpar, And Canada Ammo.
I think the true issue here is the supply, and price of .45 acp ammo... :p

I'm half thinking to order another DA 1911 combo just for the 500 rounds ammo.

Any chance of any specials on 1000 rounds boxes?

Some combo of 1911+ 1000 rounds would be great. Or 1000 rounds+1000 rounds combo :)

Yup! 1000 + 1000 rounds combo is what i'm thinking too...
I don't even care if the boxes are damaged, etc...

I'm too lazy to reload. Too Cheap to pay 50 cents a round.
So, I'm just patiently cleaning my gun...

Just bought some .357 and .308 ammo. Nobody beats the CanAm sales!!!

it wouldn't make sense to add sale on the case of 1000 since they are already discounted.

I hope this works out. Canpar delivers only mon to Friday while I'm at work and their depot is far away in another city and the depot is mon to Friday for pick up. If you work for a living and aren't on vacation, it's as good as having never delivered the package anyways. Canada post for all its complaints can be picked up locally all week long and just down the road (thankfully canadaammo also uses Canada Post by request).

Anyways, I hope this works out ... Will Canpar be publishing these new locations somewhere, so that we will know, if there is anything local?
