Ok, so you finished your rant:D, Why not go into detail about the Pedersoli Muskets? I have heard from some the springs were soft? (Haven't seen that myself, yet) Early ones had plain wood on them? Is there something I'm missing?

I do some reinacting and shoot a few times a month, I own a piedersoli, and compared to my loyalist, It just seems cheap in its components "not including the stock mind you the walnut is quite nice and took my hand rubbed oil well"

I am still reworking my pied bess.....The damn thing just cost so much, I expected much MUCH more considering all the praise they get...

my loyalist gun NEVER fails me in the bush, reinacting or just a plain ol shoot,

that pied bess, Its springs are weak, the steel in the lock is far to light

The brass fittings look like they were cast by a 10 year old, I have buffed them many times and its just a poor cast.

My loyalist long land has shot after being rained on all day, my piedersoli is finniki on even ideal conditions.

I still have hope for my peder bess, I have reworked the crappy venting "drilled right into the plug very deeply" Now I have the lock stripped at home I am replacing all the springs and fixing the angle of the hammer.

I am going to replace all the brass, with stuff from Loyalist. Then I am going to send all the crap brass to piedersoli with a note of what I think about their quality products"

I wouldent mind doing all the work if I only spent 300- 400 dollars, but this arm cost much more.

I have since handeled many of Mr Piedersolis flintlocks...I dislike all of em.

I like their percussion and cartridge arms, I would never again spend 1 red cent on one of their "quality flintlocks"

Sorry to go all pro hijack to the thread Pete, I am a bit unhappy and see zero reason to call these italian things quality top notch arms...

Give me a loyalist musket any day and I know I have to do a bit of work,
but at least I know after the work is done my gonne will never fail me if I do my part.
