It was read, and partially debunked. Those that were around when this first came out will recall that tecwriter appeared on this board to discuss some of it, and it was like a train wreck...everyone had to watch.Interesting read. I hope the static wogs in NDHQ have looked it over.
Debunked? By whom? I've read the article in the past, and I still agree with most of his points. The only stuff where my opinion may differ is in the individual components selected, and since a few years have passed, I'm sure that Kevin would revise some of his choices with what is currently available.
A 16" midlength with a RAS type set up would make the ideal/best compromise rifle for all around use in the infantry.
Hey anyone recognize the author.

Ditto. Although I can't comment on the best rifle for the infantry. But I would venture for the army at large 16" is a good choice.
Not an expert.
Hey anyone recognize the author.
There is a personal defence weapon in the works in Ottawa. Last time I talked to someone in the know, it was still not determined what kind of weapons system it will be. It is meant for the non-combat arms types so they will be able to have their weapon accessible at all times. It is not going to be a 16" version of the C7.
