IPSC Production Division - all the hoopla??

I'm one. I've seen tons of new shooters in black badge course starting off with Glock.... but they quickly realize compared to the other "novice" shooters that they're shooting with a handicap ;)

Nah jerry isnt doing too well now days, he sticks with revolver, steel challenge and shotgun and a little 3 gun nation. Bob has been practicing with taran for 3 gun for the last 2 years with nils. ipsc looked like fun till i was asked what guns i was bringing in a email, i said glock, he replied sure bring your junk over. Ive seen him at 3 gun matches and he sucks, i smoked him badly with my plastic pew pew. Conceal carry competitions are very life like, and black badges need to get certified before shooting so its a level playing field for everyone. Real good practice for self defense, but they are held over the border for the guys that have their form 6.

I am curious who "him" is that ..... I smoke him badly with my plastic pew pew???

Why IDPA ppl bring up Rob? He is great, he is better by around 10% than best Canadian IPSC shooter.
What about IDPA Canada? How that comparison will go?
as far as comparing Rob to Eric, it is almost impossible because Rob is always shooting different division than Eric.

Can you please direct us to the match results where you smoked him (Jerry) badly?
Or is him Nils?
Or Bob?
Or are you referring to Taran?

Either way, please direct us to match results.

Did it catch on fire?

It was definitely curious that Bob Vogel got out of Production shortly before the Worlds, considering EG had announced well ahead of time that he was going to be competing in Production.

i wish i was half as good as taran hahahahaha, in my post i was referring to a local ipsc guy. Taran is a super nice guy, he would never call a glock junk and neither would bob as they both shoot them.

$600 dollar gun vs $3500 and the plastic pew pew wins.

Even a broken clock tells the correct time twice a day! :)

In that video, Vogel's "light" on the front of his gun is a hollowed out shell filled with lead weight to help reduce the muzzle flip of his "plastic pew pew"
Why does he need that extra aid to be competitive??

As has been mentioned, doesn't matter what you put in the hands of the guys in these videos, they will kick ass with any equipment.

Butler and Vogel don't dare badmouth Glocks because they make money selling parts/guns.

What's this thread about again?

Fine its $634 US with warren rears and tti fronts ( another $120 ). As for the trigger i believe he is not running tti upgrades on it, he does his own triggers .

do you have any proof of that ?

im not an expert in anything, and i cant find anywhere where it says that you can run a lead weight inside your light. Can you show me ?

you could just ask Bob. His standard gun has had the "light" on it for years.

The IPSC rule book generally runs on the "Can't" principle, rather than the "can" principle. Unless you are forbidden to do something, you can generally argue that you can do it.

The lead filled weight is really no different from that SPS "Pelican" gun that everyone was in an uproar about a few years ago. That never really took off and is probably the reason why nobody kicks up much fuss about Bob Vogel's lead weight.

Some argue that frenchies gun is still superior.
 Stay classy...

If you ever get the privilege to meet Eric, you'll regret that stupid post.
His amazing skills aside; he's a really nice and humble guy who supports all the shooting sports and does not deserve that kind of commentary.
