Is 7.62x39 drying up?

It looks like Barnaul is back in many stores across the country! The boxes that I got were manufactured in 2016 so it's fairly new batch. Also, boxes now have UN markings on them and they are labeled in English and Russian (English and French previously). Someone probably found a creative way to import them into the country and work around those international trade restrictions. Finally I can enjoy shooting my SVT!

I have an SKS as well, that's probably more relevant to the topic's title :) I was just having way more hard time getting non-corrosive x54R..

There is a fair amount of it around - but the prices have gotten just stupid. It wasn't all that long ago that Ukrainian 7.62x39 (Dominion) could be had for $199/1000 - I would know as I bought 3 or 4 cases. Now, a case of 1000 Barnaul will cost you almost $500 with taxes and shipping (if Canpar doesn't deliver it to your neighbor three blocks away). Price gouging for the stuff. Cheaper to shoot 5.56 these days.
