Lol @ you guys for thinking I'm a troll. I am not, infact I have my own local Gun Forum and just came here to get some advice from you guys.

Anyway thanks for the quick replies, I live in Pakistan. All the prices that I listed are very real ! The problem here is that almost all Western countries have a small arms export ban to Pakistan. So most European/American guns come though unofficial channels hence the crazy prices.

Norinco's are exported by China and Taurus by Brazil and those guys have no issues and will sell to anyone hence their prices are normal. I did get a pair of Glock 19's and now wanted a HK P30 but can't justify buying a pistol in whose price I could buy myself 11 Norinco's !

And the lack of a quick reply from me was because of the timezone difference. I was sleepin ! :p

Here's a picture that I took yesterday of some of my pistols, hope this will help further sooth everyone 'troll' perception. :)

Btw I converted local prices into USD so it would be easier for you guys to understand.

The ammo prices should shock you a bit more.

Federal 'American Eagle' 9mm $ 1 per bullet.
Federal .45 American Army $ 1 Per bullet
Federal 9mm HP $ 3.5 per bullet
Federal .45 HP $ 4 per bullet
Federal Slugs Hp $ 1.5 per Slug

However ammo is not really an issues because locally produced ammo of very good quality is available for:

9mm Box of 100 @ $ 38
.12 ga Box of 25 @ $ 8

I have a complete price list for those interested at my homepage. Exchange rate is $ 1 = Rs. 80.

Hey Abbas welcome to Canadian Gunnutz!

Funny thing on your website is that automatics cost a lot less than any handguns! A G3, MP5 or Galil will surely help you forget the heckler and koch handgun no??? :D

What are gun laws for civilians in Pakistan?

@Jetrefueller & Barracude Thank you.

The market for automatic weapons is very exclusive as you need a special license for keeping a full auto weapon. The special license is not granted unless there is a real security need and cost for the license alone is over $ 3000 USD. Most of the licenses are weapon specific and are for Ak-47 only.

For all other semi auto weapons, anyone without a criminal record and a decent level of education and income is issued one. However there is no limit on the number of licenses a person can have.

Btw there are huge private firearm collections in Pakistan, atleast 5000 people here have more than 100 arms each in their collection. Ak47 in auto and TT and Chinese variants are the most popular in the market.

So to re ask my question, do any of you guys think one P30 is worth 11 Norinco's ? Is the performance difference between the Glock 19 and P30 worth $ 2500 ??

One gun you will love is worth 11 that you won't. Not to say you won't love shooting a norc, but that if you don't, then I would rather have one that I love.

Thanks for sharing that info about pakistan, it is always interesting hearing about how other countries deal with gun control first hand.
