Is it a joke or are they serious?

House analogy works within a reason. If you list your old house at say 10% more than new, ok fine but if you list yours 500% more than new, I get to laugh and make fun of you. Screw anyone ripping fellow gun owners in this time.

Today’s large rifle primer price $400, magnum $500………holy …. dude, have some shame!

Plenty of people who bought houses in the middle 90's-late 2000's sold in the last couple of years with a 500-1000% markup. Like all of them in and around any city in Canada. Which is what your seeing with reloading components.
Supply and demand.
Something tells me it's going to get worse before it gets better.

Screwing your fellow man, like desperation or just trying to get ahead in today's market makes you a chump, is the definition of success in the modern world.

It's going to be pretty interesting, talking about housing again, to see what things are like after all the privileged oblivious lucky boomers pass and their kids are left holding something only foreigners are able to afford.
Will they sell to them?
You bet your arse they will.
Just look at Vancouver and Toronto and tell me how much property in and around those cities is in Canadians hands?

So much for sovereignty.

Surprise, ee price for Win large rifle primers went up another notch from last night. Another greedy sob listed them for $500 now. Way to go, destroy our sport for new comers you a holes. I hope your own primers burn in house fire!
Retailers are going to see these prices and be like, why the heck are we selling these for $120 let’s jack upto $500.

Some of those outlandish ads are now gone… surprise surprise

Those house prices 5x from 30years ago, not 3 years ago. They had to be maintained, looked after, renovated.
So buddy made $1600 over the reasonable market price of $100 each, by selling 4 bricks of primers. Is that going to make him/her rich? No! That is going to set new price in market as seen by other fools following that price. Some of you rich guys probably don’t care, what happens to new shooters looking to get in to this sport? Do we really wanna kill our hobby for one time payment of $1600???

The 30 year difference in houses and primers isn't it to lunch. This year for reloading looks like the housing market did 3 years ago (and still looks like now).

I think, while the primer shortage is a nail in the coffin, the coffin was measured, built and filled over the last 30 years by people voting with their bank accounts instead of with an understanding of the death of a thousand cuts that is the the firearm industry and sport shooting hobby getting 'legally' whittled away in this country by our elected politicians.

This is the end of the death rattle for our sport, not the beginning.
DRASTIC measures are the only thing that'll save it.
And we all know that's not going to happen, unless it starts somewhere else first.

And no matter what you think, capitalism requires people take advantage of the market. That's why it's called the FREE market.
If you're willing to get hosed to get what you want, that's on you, not them.

I don't support price gouging but let's be honest, is it the price gougers killing the hobby or is it JT?

It's not communist Canada quite yet, so hey good on you if you share and care but let's not make it a mandatory requirement to join the party. Or do, I don't care. I don't understand some of you people.

idk whats up but some adverts from gun stores are selling trail boss in like 4kg for 600 aud...... isnt that crazy?

an i think it was apn70? or something, it was crazy expensive?

just becoz?

Just saw the all time, record setter, 8oz sealed container of Blackhorn muzzle loading powder, $500 shipping included. I want to know if anyone needs it that bad. LMAO

they're gone because they SOLD,we have to remember, not everybody is a poor s.o.b.,there are gunnutz out there who have money, and to them $500.00 for 1000 primers is a drop in the bucket, should sellers sell cheap just so they can feel good about themselves, would you sell your house in a high rated market for what it was worth 3 years ago just so you can feel good about yourself?..didn't think so,prices suck for sure, but where's there's demand, there will be money to buy it somewhere, sure feels nice to have stocked up 100,000 of those suckers.
