Is it really worth shopping at this store? TENDA

My order showed up today, had to wait a bit for slow shipping but they had the best price out there and more importantly they had what I wanted in stock.

I’ve never had an issue with them at all and they’ve always been helpful. The only time I had an issue was that it took over 3 months to receive my Glock 44 and that was because the CFO was taking their sweet time issuing transfers during the pandemic. Always have the best prices on ammo and they don’t raise their prices and put on sale at the msrp price like FOC sometimes does.

To all the people complaining about slow shipping, their hands are tied once it is given to the shipper. Also, shipping companies have been super swamped in November and December because of Christmas and also because majority of people are buying online instead of going to brick and mortar stores since this pandemic started.

My experience with them is good so far. I placed an order with them online, and had to edit my order shortly thereafter... So far their customer service is on the ball. I have no complaints this far.

I think it's a matter of choices. Good, fast, cheap. Pick two.

With Tenda, you're picking good and cheap. Not always the fastest, but good selection, good prices, and reliable (albeit slower than competitors) service.

I have no qualms buying from Tenda, but for critical time specific items, I'll find them locally -- and pay more.

I have had nothing but positive experiences. I just picked up ammo that was ordered during the boxing week specials with no issues. I glad they are local to me and have good deals. Anytime shipping is involved you role the dice, especially with Canada Post...

I have ordered several times from Tenda and have been happy until most recently when I placed an order that ultimately could not be filled. I am not going to into details but sadly I don't think Tenda will be my go to if I can't expect some degree of reliability from their ordering system. In as much as I appreciate a good deal I don't see the point if I am left guessing if I will actually receive the item I got charged and provided tracking info but really never actually got shipped.

I've been buying from S & W at Tenda since they were selling out of that closet of theirs; they're one of the few vendors out there that will still take the time if you do, especially in store. But like all things that grow in a business, the resources and time do not.

In store, you'll still get an amazing hands-on experience; one that calls back to the days of yore. I still think they're trying to figure out a way to translate this to the online experience, but like a conversation, hard to make progress when the 'words' keep streaming in. That said, I have little doubt that they'll get there, and I'm happy to keep supporting ubtil they do.

Plus, regardless of what some may think of their adjusted 'sale' prices, they continually have some of the best prices around.

I think their online system sucks since it is not updated. I ordered online twice already and both times it took them forever to get back to me and tell me that they can only fill it partially. However they were always friendly. Why not hire more staff when you are pushing more sales online just for that? The people working there are clearly stressed out and prioritize in store customers (human nature). I would order again but call in first to make sure my order is available.

I can not get them to answer phone calls or emails about an order. This is my second purchase. My first purchase I ordered product that showed in-stock online, when it actually wasn’t in-stock in the store. Not awful, but the competition certainly does it better.

I won’t be buying from them again.

On dealing with Tenda...

The fact that they do not respond in any way when you are trying to give them money I take as a warning sign to stay away.
An update, I sent the email on May 21, 2020.

Two days after this post on June 14 someone at Tenda did respond to my email on June 16. If anyone from Tenda does read this; thank you for getting back to me.

As I mentioned in the original post, in the greater than 3 week period it took you to respond I did spend over $2000 on another purchase elsewhere. I'm not mad, actually somewhat relieved that I did not enter into a business transaction with Tenda based on this experience. Too bad really, great website, seem to have a lot of interesting things...

To be fair, they must have done something right to be around for awhile. However, businesses as they grow don't always evolve. I'm glad some people have had good dealings with them, based on my own experience I cannot see why I would try to deal with them.

Just a quick update guys...

I ordered about 25 minutes ago and they still haven't shipped my order... Clearly unacceptable and an unprofessional way to do business.

No signs of space shuttle in the sky delivering my order yet, wtf Tenda !

This pretty much sums up all these negative posts and replies. Lol

In the past 6 months, I have purchased a number of firearms and ammo from Tenda, I have spent over $3,000 online with them without an issue. My friend who introduced me to Tenda has had the same good experience. Email enquiries and phone calls were responded to in a timely manner. Avoid Canpar and go with UPS shipping if you can. That was the only hiccup. With UPS, no more issues.
