Is it really worth shopping at this store? TENDA

I was a first time customer. Ordered some ammo right after Christmas. Order was a bit slow getting out but got here intact, prices were great and product was exactly what I expected.

Man....i have ordered tons of stuff from tenda, more then i care to admit ( we all have a problem....face it)

And never once had so much as a hiccup?

Some people are just hard to please.

they took care of the unhappy customer what else are you expecting ....

Haha, that was my post about the range finder that I paid for , then got a tracking number for and then days later they said I don't get to buy it as they don't have good inventory skills. I am waiting on my full refund still. The last email said 2-4 days to get my money back. I'm surprised my post magically disappeared! I know I didn't delete it.

That’s funny, I always got the feeling that the glowing reviews that randomly came down the pike were phoney, andyways I really doubt that it’s a conspiracy, what’s the old boys game that they’re rebelling against ?

There's way too many glowing reviews for them to be phoney.

I think the whole firearms industry is an old boys game. There's very few retailers, they're almost all sole proprietorship (very few exceptions -- Bass Pro/Cabela's/Sail), most of them are old & have been in the business a long time & have long standing relationships. This leads to anti-competitive behaviour -- specifically everyone's prices go up and down at the same time, no-one undercuts anyone without having kissed the boss' ring (be that Stoeger or whoever), and that's sort of what it is.

So when you get an upstart like Tenda, run by a bunch of young Chinese guys, I tend to think it rubs a lot of ppl the wrong way. They don't play by the same rules, aren't in it to make friends, and therefore make a lot of enemies in the industry along the way.

I could be totally wrong, but I've been in business a long time, seen a lot of things, and this is what it looks like to me from the outside looking in, for what that's worth.

Anyone know what happened to the complaint thread about TENDA on here yesterday?
POOF! Its gone...

I guess they figured one at a time is appropriate, and this one is the active one...

I mean they made the other one a sticky for God's sake, you can't begrudge them deleting it after a month and when it had run its course.

They do have a lot of good reviews from people who have simple orders for things they have a lot of in stock. They have a lot of bad ones as well from from people who have had issues with orders and receive poor customer service.

What you say about the competition may have been true 10 years ago. I’ve been into guns for about 13 years now and I’ve seen a lot of new businesses pop up, Tenda being only one of them. The industry and the community have definitely seen tremendous growth in that time. I don’t think they rub the other retailers the wrong way. I think most of them welcome as many gun dealers in this country as they can even if it means more competition for them because it means that the industry has a better chance of withstanding the relentless attacks from the government.

Regarding what you said about competitors slinging sh*t. I don’t think that’s the case at all. The kind of people who are involved in the firearms community are not ones who would take kindly to that kind of behaviour. If it was leaked that another retailer was doing that it would be a death sentence for them.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Tenda has shady business practices. Either their inventory controls are poor, or they’re purposefully listing things as in stock that they don’t have to generate orders. Like the MG34 the guy preordered and they never even ordered it in for him. Or people like my friend who ordered things that were listed as in stock but half of it wasn’t, and had to wait 6 months to get the items. In the meantime they sold the other half of his order out from underneath him when they should have set it aside. Then when it was all listed as in stock again he called to make sure they shipped it and they openly admitted it wasn’t actually in stock but should be in a week. Behaviour like that is why you see so many people complaining about shipping delays. Little do they know it’s because Tenda hasn’t even received it yet.

Yup definitely seems taken care of to me.

Yes, nothing but glowing reviews. What an awesome store. No censorship here at all folks. No deleted negative reviews to allow the general viewership to decide. Absolutely genuine. No bashing of posters with negative reviews either. Wow. It would be a shame if the negative reviews muddled all the positive. We wouldn’t want that. We wouldn’t want a future customer to have a true and informative understanding of the place of purchase. Not sure why anyone would buy anywhere else.

Well to counter my positive review, had a question about an item on the flyer and website, and haven't gotten a reply from CGN, email, Facebook, nor phone. So the great customer service I got with my order has disappeared....

Why is THAT ? just wondering ? RJ
I personally never had any issues with tenda and only have positive to talk about. But with this thread reaching near 40k views I can only assume a lot of other customer did not have the luck I had perhaps. Comments talk for themselves.

I've had good success on all my orders,if I need something to be prioritised put it in the comments and follow up with a phone call,no complainnts so far, kelly

Had very poor customer service experience with them. I think they're hit or miss at best and intentionally malicious at worst. Sold me a gun that needed to be repaired out of the box and ignored my emails and phone calls until I posted on their forum here. I still don't have the gun I paid for and they've since deleted the thread to hide my feedback. I've noticed their stock isn't updated in real time on their website and if you order something that's not in stock you're stuck waiting. There are many other great retailers that don't jerk their customer base around like Tenda does.
