The 8mm fills the gap between the 30 cal and the 338 cal, perhaps the biggest gap left in the North American continent...
It is a good cartridge, but as stated in many posts, the message is that most of us dont want change, and a 30 mag or 338 mag, or the non-mag '06 or 338-06 will knock anything over that the 325 will. That is correct, no disputing that.
But for those of us that like it, and shoot it, its a great caliber and a good cartridge, as are many other non-mainstrean cartridges.
Not all of us want to use a 30-30, 303, or 30-06.
