Is the Tavor just the Flavor of the Day?

The Tavor is not a target rifle. The rifle like the AR platform was designed with the military in mind as the end user. Therefore any discussion regarding its merits for combat are completely valid. Discussions regarding "target performance" of the Tavor are the ones of little merit. If you want a target rifle with target accuracy than buy a good bolt gun and handload. Otherwise, accept the "combat accuracy" of any rifle designed for such use and move on.

Your comment about discussing situations and equipment that most of us will never find oursleves with or in is an interesting point. Why is it that discussing such items in this thread are taken as humourous, yet there are atleast a dozen more threads throughout this site that qualify on the same grounds? Such as 9mm vs 45 or AK vs AR. More recently a thread comparing full house 10mm to 357 mag.

If you shoot 3 gun matches or are serious about your skills than understanding the value of both dominant and non-dominant shooting shouldn't alude you. Some take their sport seriously and strive to be better. Others accept their current skill levels and fail to advance.

Come to think of it, he sounds more like the type that would keep obeying the safe storage laws even during a time like that.

So Soli, to expand on your post we should all just bin the entire CCW effort, might as well get rid of all the milsurps (none of us will ever find ourselves in some trench system somewhere firing across no-man's land after all), and those mean and nasty "assault rifles" might as well get turned in right away?

I made no mention of magazine capacity or any other "problem" we have as firearm owners in Canada: I'm just ####ing sick of idiots talking #### about guns for the stupidest of reasons when it makes no difference in their lives.

Let me understand you correctly. Because I "play cowboy games"(which makes no sense, three gun consists of rifle pistol and shotgun. You could use single action revolvers an old break shotgun and a bolt action rifle. Then again, that would be called SASS or CAS.) I am merely a wannabe or a poser? I mean, no one here will ever see any combat or put their firearms to use in such a capactiy. So seeing as how the Tavor was designed as a combat rifle and you proclaim that you are on the waiting list, does that mean you're a basement poser? You make no mention of your involvment in "action shooting" sports.
On a side note. You mention your support for repealing OUR stupid gun laws. Where does Quebec fall into our? Last I checked you folks never officially joined Canada and the last time I checked there is still a fair number of you folks who wish to separate? Why would you obey a law imposed by another nation???
