Is there a need for more Cdn made AR parts?

It has been a wild and crazy day here, between emails and phone calls.:runaway:

Here are some of the options as far as what can be done for engraving around the safety/selector.

The plan id to engrave these on both side so the ambi guys know if their gun is hot or not.:)

This is the plan for the enhanced type triggergard and the general profile of the lower. Yes I know it is a stolen photo, but gives you the idea.

Also the question of colors has come up, yes we can anodize in different colors, at this time the upcharge is $50.00 per color. If we can get larger batchs of different colors the price point should be better.

A $200.00 deposit gets you on the build list and ensures you get the serial number or custom touches of your choice.

More to come as soon as I get time.

I am with acrash... if someone wants a match trigger let them go buy it... I have tried all of the and frankly for a cqb gun I prefer stock....

now if I was goign to make a precision rifle then sure an aftermarket trigger is great

Personally, I really dont see the point of making lowers becasue Wolverine, Questar and Armseast are alreadly flooded with lowers.........what we need are specialty upper that Armseast, Wolverine or others are not bringing in. I don't really care about some special marking or lower made of barstock. A forging in the shape of the lower is stronger than a forged barstock anyways unless the orientation of the grain is known.

THere is still a supply of typical commerical offerings - what the market lacking are high end "noveske type" uppers that are reliable and accurate, or somethign that are of different calibres.
From my understanding this s not necessarily correct Greentips (if I'm wrong please correct me). This would be correct is the same series of aluminum were being compared but, a forging in 6000 series Aluminum should not be as durable as 7075. Also anodizing type makes a big difference.

Thank-you to everyone that had the patients to stay on the phone and keep calling to get your name on the new lowers. Like Rick said, it was a busy day and we'll continue to take calls Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am - 6pm mountain time.

Do serial numbers need to be numbers? Is a word combination allowed?

Alpha numeric is ok, but just a word alone won't work

And some info from our sponsor:)

About the CGN logo issue -

1) the graphics must be provided by us and it will be a standard that cannot be deviated from

2)CGN media will require a loyalty payment for the use of our name and logo at the rate of 15 dollars per lower produced. The username of the purchaser will be made available to CGN.

3)The serial number of the lower must have "CGN" as a pre-fix or post fix, clearly separated from the rest of the serial number by a "-"

3)ATR will not directly charge the member for the royalty fee. The price of the lower with CGN logo must be the same as regular lower without CGN logo.

Can we use the serial number prefix CGN-012345 without using the beaver logo?

I believe that a serial number ATRS 08- CGN012345 would be ok
Again GreenTips would have the final say.
The CFC has accepted the ATRS 08- as being the serial number format, after the - I don't think they care as long as there is at least 4 more digits following the - and they can be alpha numeric
