Is there a need for more Cdn made AR parts?

Mine came today, Very impressed with the quality. Everything went together great. Now I have to build an equally impressive upper for it.

But I can beat you up!

I can live with that, your bigger and I'm a humble crane operator suffering from the effects of my demanding job.

BUT can you live with DangerDeb beating you up for beating me up, I dont need to be tuff with her around!!:p:D:adult:

Just to stay on topic....Rick I need a new Lower!!! those are fine fine pieces we will be talkin, or making a trip south for a visit.:dancingbanana:

Just got my lower pics the same as the rest, amazing quality, very happy. Does anybody know or have an idea of the durability of the finish...???

Should be as good as or better then any other AR lower, they were anodized to Milspec type III Hard. There was one or two like rivetc78's that had slightly less dye penetration in a couple areas hence the "thin spots". However the actual hardness of the converted surface is unaffected.

Thanks Rick, keep the cool #### coming ;)

Any of you guys have problems installing certain types of grips on the lower? I tried two types DPMS and Magpul Miad grip and I can't get the Miad to tighten down all the way. Any Ideas?
Im sure they will fit. Those grips are made to be tight, you gotta wedge them on. Try pressing just a corner on, then rocking it back and forth while pushing at the same time.

even the a2 grips are tight, I usually take a 10oz dead blow hammer and beat them on until they are where they are supposed to be, then putthe screw on and tighten.... that way your assured you will not strip out hole in the reciever trying to force a steel screw to pull a grip onto an aluminium part with aluminim threads.

I have had to do this with all major brands.... do not use the screw to torque it on.

No I can push it all the way on but the screw will not thread in far enough to keep the grip tight it needs to be about 1/8 inch shorter screw or something. And I used the screw that came with the Miad Grip. The DPMS gives me no problems at all fits perfectly and the screw is alot longer for the DPMS. I have put a Miad grip on my Troy MCS for a M14 without issue don't know why this is giving me problems.
