I've been buying it whenever I am in the store and they have some. I've had my pal for 7 months now and have amassed almost 11000 rounds. Like it had been said, it's out there.
Edit: I should add that 7500 or so rounds were purchased for $350 in a local private sale that I just could not pass up!
I assume that is $9.99 per 100. Does the local guy do mailorder?
Would love to know who?
Ah Poo. I didn't attend for fear of buying some thing I didn't need. Didn't occur to me that ammo would be sold there. Was there any powder for sale there?
Winchester what? 333s? Please don't tell me that.
"buy it when you see it" Ya, I do that, but I haven't seen any in a long time now.

You'll create a BB shortage thenMight have to just settle for a BB gun if this #### keeps up.....![]()
Is the public shooting more ammo than can be produced? NO.
The constant talk about a .22 shortage, and the scare of law changes has given the consumer the desire to hoard. This is the perfect play for the retailer.
Everybody has at least a thousand rounds, if not a whole brick. There's no shortage. Just plain old consumerism.
We were just offered yellowjackets from a Canadian Rem distributor at well over $5 per box. That's wholesale pricing , not retail, so don't blame the local store too much![]()
Is there really a shortage or is it a manufactured shortage? [ie rumour of shortage, people buy out existing stocks of .22 thereby creating a shortage - self perpetuates].
Also gives retailers a chance to jack up the price of .22 ammo.
Remember in the not too distant past when 500 rd bricks of Win Wildcat were $17? Try & find any 500 rd bricks anywhere under $40 now.

NAA.
You only shoot 500 rounds of .22LR a year? I'm around 10x that and with the shortage of specific brands for my picky .22LR handguns, I just bought 5000 rounds of 9mm and will be shooting that instead. My .22LR pistols will be safe queens until the market sorts itself out.I see 22 everywhere I go, different brands, have seen steady supply over last five years and I shoot around 5oo a year but I could buy more then I need . But I have always walked into store and picked up brick when needed
