Is this scope sitting too high?

Every scope mount is a personal fit. To far back, to far forward, to high, to low. When you bring your rifle up to your shoulder the scope should be at your natural shooting level. If you have to raise your head to get a good view, then it is to high, lower your head, then it is to low. Move your head back to get a full scope view or forward? The scope should be in full focus as soon as the rife is at your shoulder. Having to move your head around to get the view lined up and you will end up seeing that trophy butt walking into the bush.

kinda bugging me a little, should I get lower profile rings or is it not too bad?

As per above, you could try something to see where the best placement is for you:

Close your eyes, shoulder your rifle, move it around with your eyes closed to the place that feels most comfortable on your cheek and shoulder, then open your eyes, that's where your scope would be best off. You may want it lower or higher or it may be just perfect, you may want to move it forward or rearward, but it works for me to find the most natural placement.

You may be surprised how much you want to adjust it after doing that though.

For quick offhand shooting like thick bush hunting, I tend to go with higher rings.
For off the bench, lower for me is better.
