Lol. Ya me too. That is pretty sweet.

GROUP BUY!!!!!

anyone know MSRP on that korth?

OP...you've received excellent advice from the posters here.

Here's $0.02 from a guy who owns eighteen 1911's, from A Norc to an NHC to a double barrel 2011

value per dollar Sigs are tough to beat.

S&W e series are nice too

I don't have a Dlask, but I have fired one. For a semi custom they are a tremendous value.

Watch the EE. There are some good deals if you act quick on Dan Wesson, NHC, Les Baer and Wilson Combat.

Most of all, remember this.

Look for old colt series 70 and combat commanders. They made great custom gun platforms. There was a time when
they sold for a reasonable prices because of the sig Sauer 226 craze. Everyone sold them to buy super 9's. There are
many out there that were custom fitted. I added many to my 45 collection. You can buy them cheaper than you can build
them.

You mention it was an Auto Ordnance . You also mentioned that the "Rich kid" had it customized and there may explain why it
shot so well. Auto Ordnance guns were known to have a variety of issues back in the day. You can Google and find more. Many were
good shooters and some were neither reliable nor accurate. A Norc sent of for custom fitting to a good smith might yield great groups as well.
I have quite a few 1911's and if I were to suggest a currently available 1911 I would lean towards the Les Baer PremierII or Springfield TRP.
Haven't shot a Sig 1911 style but have heard great things.

I have heard similar complaints, Gravel - especially with the alloy guns. The trigger looks like it was fabbed up by a drunk on a drill press - the holes don't line up all that well...but the trigger mechanism is the best trigger I have had on any firearm I've owned. There is NO creep and it breaks like glass. It is a most intriguing pistol - it looks like a 'Bubba' POS but it shot like a champ for years of heavy use.

I am leaning toward Les Baer too as I read and dig into this. They say on their website 'Ask about our 1-1/2" guarantee!' but I can't find any specifics on that. Do you know anything about it? I really like the idea of an accuracy gurantee. Thanks for all the advice boys!

From what I understand from those in the know, there is no reason to pony up the extra for the "1-1/2". I believe someone tested side by side and found no difference.
