It's christmas........if money were no concern........

I've always wanted to hunt elk, so a trip out west for me and a good hunting buddy would be in order, plus a new (but old) rifle to drag along for both of us ... browning b78 in 30-06 or 7mm rem would be nice.

All the classic old Winchesters I could find. Nothing newer than 1925. And since planes have come up, a nice new 206 on amphibs. Or a new 182 with the diesel. I'd be fine building time in either

Really going for it would be to order that Merkel 140 500 NE sitting at Epps for 10.500 dollars... JP.

If money was absolutely no option give I'd give a bunch of it to a foundation to get more younger kids hunting, fishing and just appreciating the outdoors. Ive got most of what I want, I think keeling the tradition of outdoor life going is more important than myself acquiring more stuff.

A brand spanking new Schultz $ Larsen.
Haven't figured out a chambering yet.
Nothing too horribly small.
An old Schultz in the 308 Norma Mag I could gift to my old school chum.
He has asked for this one be willed to him.
He cherishes the charm and history of this old pa's blessed gal.
And a hunt with him and his wife.
Maybe a dall sheep hunt to finish dad's dream.
They make the bestest frick'in hunting memories of anyone I know.
That's it, that's all.

cz 550 fs in 9.3x62, it will scratch my itch.

swarovski spotting scope so I don't need to run down the range to check target. I always turn back my head frequently while running down range, it is not good feeling.

If money wasn't a concern, hmmm lets see....Schmidt&Benders for all my rifles, and to have a check mark beside each species listed in the SCI book. That would do for starters!

Spend a few months in Africa, New Zealand, and Autralia. And get myself another aircraft, most likely just a good old 150-160 PA-18...

Oh, and about 30 rifles....

EDIT: I almost forgot a Desert Sheep hunt!! Still need to complete my NA grand slam!

crazy_davey asked to see pics of the other 3 sheep in the slam that you have I'd like to see them as well always love sheep pics, and have you got any of your former plane, I'd be interested to see it too.

If money were truly no object, I'd probably go on a huge Canadian hunting tour with my Dad. Start in NFLD with moose and bear, and finish off with moose and bear in the yukon. Lots of whitetails, mule deer, black bears, elk, maybe a sheep or goat, taken with bows, crossbows, big old single shot 45-70s, and a Longbranch no 4 for it to be truly canadian. I might need a new rifle for sheep :) Don't forget the predator hunts, wild hogs, and lots of grouse and rabbits taken with the recurve along the way. Couldn't be this Christmas, though, I have to wait a few years so my son can come too.

Didn't you get an LEH draw for grizzly last fall? I thought you posted that you did, or was it last spring?

Last spring, but I ended up being away working during the time we had to go.

You just need to move to the Yukon, then you could shoot dall sheep, stone sheep, 2 caribou, moose, bison, a goat and 2 black bear every year, no draw required and a grizzly every 3 years no draw required, and then draw in for elk and mule deer and oh ya all the wolves and coyotes your heart desires. Actually I think there is a season and limit on wolves now.........5 I believe. There is only one law here though, no Ruger sh!t, you must hunt with the "TRUE KING" the .375 H&H!!!! Trust me it's the law here, it says right in the game laws "no Ruger sh!t calibers all hunting done with calibers over 35 cal to be done with the "TRUE KING", .375 H&H" ;):D:p:slap:

BC has pretty much the same except for distributed a little. You need a draw for only bison and grizzly, but you could get a grizz draw every yer or so if you were willing to hunt to under-subscribed areas. No draw for elk or WT, mule or blacktail deer. I love November blacktail deer hunting, too.
