Picked up an Enfield No 1 Mk III*, BSA 1942. Any way to identify if this is a "dispersal rifle" (Claven2?).

Any info on WW2 produced No 1's or links to info appreciated

If I'm not mistaken (and I often am) dispersal rifles will not be dated...

P.38's vary in price, they generally start at 500 ish. ac's are very attractive to collectors generally. and since your has a Marked magazine, which i have never seen before, i might jump the gun and say an all matching ac42 w/ matching mag might run for 650 or more.

down south, it would probably go for 1000 US

Anyways, just picked up this little guy. First restricted. So happy.

M1 Carbine, World War II issue, but given to the West German Border Police after the war, hence the change in rear sight. As well, unfortunatly, whoever owned this before milled down the muzzle to put on an extra length of barrel hoping to make it non-restricted. Oh well. Nice piece either war.
