How about a collection of pics of your harvested game there boss man, that'll shut up the naysayers and prove your hunting prowess like nothing else. Coyotes and grouse don't count to be clear.

Based on the condition that bear was found in it could have possibly been dead before it hit the ground. That's assuming no one was telling fibs about where & how they found it...
Agreed. Not trying to come to any hard conclusion. And as mentioned before by another poster, not sure if the guy in the vid has a clue or not. But I am starting to question if rigor can set in and diminish that quickly? IMO: It looked like a quick kill & with penetration as deep as claimed it would support that, even if the shot was aft of a 'boiler room' shot.
Any idea what the average temps would be in the Swan Hills area that time of year?
According to the news I just read, he found it the next day.
Of course you take a finishing shot, or two or more, if the animal goes down on the spot. This one...like many...did not. It ran off into the bush and was lost to sight almost immediately, so the ethical thing to do is to wait, as has been explained so patiently, so many times now.
You've been watching too much TV. Critters (including people) rarely just flop over dead the instant a bullet strikes. It does happen, and it is greatly to be appreciated and hoped for, but it's not usually the case.
You would think that the immediate negative reaction from over 200,000 members of the general public would be a wake up call to this supposed hunter and the knuckle draggers who support him. Most hunters are not thrill seekers out to prove something and those of us who have worked hard to promote safe, ethical and humane hunting practices are just as appalled by such stunts as the non hunting public. Tell this jackass and like minded individuals to go get a job in a slaughterhouse to get their kicks and come back if and when they ever grow up.
All Muslims aren't terrorists, all priests aren't pedophiles and all hunters aren't sociopaths who get their jollies trying to prove something by selfish and inhumane acts.
How do you "hunt???"
What do you hunt???
What is your weapon of choice???
"When hunting big game an ethical hunter will always attempt to get close enough to his quarry to ensure a quick, clean kill." - The kill was quick and clean
"He realizes that in doing so , his quarry may discover him and escape before he has the chance to take the shot. But he always gives his quarry a sporting chance" - He was 10 feet away with a spear...doesn't get more sporting than that.
"Through considerable practice before a hunt, he will learn the distance at which he can be most confident of killing game cleanly" - He must have practiced a lot, as the kill was clean.
"Once afield, he will expend extraordinary effort to retrieve and dispatch wounded game- even if it means interrupting his hunting to help another hunter locate a wounded animal" - It's a very good thing that he did retrieve his game.
"An ethical hunter shows as much respect for his game after it is taken as before he shoots it" - Didn't see any disrespect. Maybe if he'd desecrated the body or something...
"To ensure game is killed quickly and humanely, every hunter must know the vital areas of his quarry. He must develop the skills necessary to ensure his shot hits one of these areas:Heart, blood vessels, spine, brain, lungs" - Must have hit something vital, as the bear only went 60 yards
So please try to post something that supports your position and negates our claims if you're going to argue with us Mr. Big Boss Man.
