it's been 77 days and i used the information available on these forums to get in contact with my local cfo, she said that whoever flagged my licence was just being a wimp and a withdrawn charge shouldnt have any impact on my licence. the site now says my licence has been issued. durham region cfo was very pleasant to speak with. no idea how long it will take for the licence to come in the mail though. it says two weeks.

I just finished my PAL course in Vancouver British Columbia from a master instructor and he mentioned to a few of us after every one left that if you use a purple marker and mark the corners of the envelope it would indicate to the workers who recieve the mail to escalate them as it had something to do with people whos jobs require them to use/handle firearms.

i'll let you know how it goes for me when i try it out.

Can't wait until I'm a certified gun nut :shotgun:

yesturday I saw an envelope with the RCMP tag on it, didn't notice it was for my dad, felt a license on the inside and tore it open only to be horribly disapointed...checking the mail everyday now :)

Six months... g**damn

i sent in all my paperwork the 20th of dec. forgot to sign my picture. had it all returned to me by the 10th of jan. and i finally got my rpal on the 12th of june. counting from january i waited six months.

I passed my courses on June 26, Sent papers on July 09 , and I have been contacted in August 20 by RCMP and two of my references got contacted in the last two weeks , and I have just checked for status and nothing is there, how long does it take for them to update information ?

I am in the same boat as you. The RCMP received my papers August 5th, I was contacted the August 25 as well as my references. Mine has said "Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date." since AUG 5th. Maybe I am being a little too anxious. But I would still like to know when they update their site.

Do they contact my spouse as well ?, They have contacted my references, but not my wife.. so I am just wondering if this is holding up ?
