just right carbine what are your feelings

I was really considering one myself but then I noticed that it doesn't have last shot bolt hold open
To me the gun needs to have that feature.

Does anyone know if the Thureon Defense has a last shot hold open?
 
The Thureon Defense does not have last shot hold open... Yes I own one and know for sure..

Not sure why its a big deal to people.. I pull the trigger and when it goes click its time for a new mag.. Pretty simple.. Seems crazy to me that people would think that is a big deal.

I guess when the zombies are here every second will count. Just bought a Jr myself in 9mm can't wait I already got a Kel tek 2000 but the sights are so crude and cheap had to buy a jr to put a optic on so I can pic out them gophers easier.
 
So, I've had mine for a week now, but only just got to shoot her today. I 4x4ed up the hill, on a break between jobsites. Didn't have much time, so I didn't go to my bush range, but stopped halfway there in a logging slash. Used some clay pigeons for targets, and blasted through a box of 50 9mm..... I'm in love!! :D
 
Funny.. I've watched people shoot with guns that have Last Shot Hold Open and they still pull the trigger after the last round. Since the bolt is obscured from view, they have no idea that its held open.

So no time saved.. I'm just sayin.... Don't let that feature hold you back from either the JR or the Thureon Defense..
 
I like mine. The only thing stopping me from saying I totally love it is that I have had a few jams, but I have read that can happen until it gets broken in. It is a bit more difficult to clean than a standard AR-15, but the NR status and lower price point make up for it in my opinion. It is very accurate and a blast to shoot. At 50m it just tears one big hole in the paper, at 100m I was getting about 4-5' but I think that was my fault. I am sure that can be tightened up some by a better marksman.

I bought mine from Bill at the Wood Joynt in Brandon. He is a great guy to deal with and I was very impressed by his work. He installed a Midwest 12' rail that balances out the rifle nicely and improves looks dramatically IMHO

Had mine out today popping gophers and I love it fantastic little rig put through some new American eagle some of my own cast bullet reloads and some commercial reloads no feeding issues with any in my opinion far superior accuracy to my Kel=tek sub 2000 most of the rounds touched at 50 yrds.

Did you clean it yet? I took mine out once so far and had a couple of destroyed cases. I'm thinking most of the issues I had were feeding problems that could all be attributed to the mag. I bought a couple more factory glock mags that I'm hoping will work better than the one that came with the gun.

Well, then this is your first hand report of a JR Carbine .40 cal that is going back for refund.

I purchased my JR Carbine From a reputable reseller in Ontario, a couple of weeks ago. I've yet to be able to shoot more then 5 rounds without a jam, and horrible damage to the brass. The rounds fired from that rifle are no longer reloadable. I will see if there is a manufacturer recall and fix, I really hope so. I wanted a US built AR-15 style NR carbine.
