Thanks. No nightforce that I'd consider in this price point. I don't think I'd pick nightforce even if I had a larger budget
I’d take any used NF NXS over everything you listed above even if its not a FFP.

Hey Malice you like the ''dot'' G4P reticle ?
What do you shoot ?

Meopta Meostar line - check them out...
How's the G4P reticle for you? That's the main detractor for me grabbing the xrs 3. I like .2 wind holds
They recently released a new .2 reticle. The EQL.
Ah. Makes sense. I’d also like to try the XRS3 w/ EQL. Maybe once prices come down.Yeah that reticle looks good. The other style is on the EE for a good deal. If that EQL was $2k I'd give it a go
Hey Wayne , you like the G4P reticle ?
I had the DMR 2 with the G3 , xlnt scope jusst the reticle was
too heavy.
I really like the look of XRS 3 , 6-36X56 w/G4P.

I have a Bushnell HDMR II, an Apex Rival and an Athlon Ares ETR (glass is on par with a Cronus but will most likely be less reliable).
The Apex is my favorite. Best glass and good eyebox. It's also my favorite reticle. The Athlon is second and Bushnell third.
The new XRS will have better glass than my older Bushnell.
I consider my Apex to be a better scope than a Nightforce scope below the ATARC line. NX8 would be on par if it wasn't for the poor eyebox.
I don't think you can go wrong with any 2k glass from Japan in the end. It is mostly about your choice of reticle.
I have an Ares ETR and Cronus BTR, while the glass is great on the ETR for its price, its no match for the Cronus
I shoot an Athlon Ares & Delta Javelin , the Javelin wins out
and has a better reticle.
Next would be a Delta Stryker or Bushy XRS III .

I have 3 javelins and the stryker
I take it that you like Delta scopes .
Stryker much better than Javelins ?
my 'opinion' is that at a certain point the improvements in clarity/resolution/contrast/freedom from flare etc is subject to diminishing returns and very costly. It is reasonable that a lot of attention is paid to the clarity of image .. because that is readily observable... Unfortunately what we dont see is the primary reason we buy a scope .. and that is to securely contain a reticle that provides a dependable and repeatable aiming point and allow for precise adjustment of the reticle to accommodate varying range to target and windage. Personally I would like to see more discussion and evaluation of the mechanical quality and features of scopes
