So the US State Dept. wont allow the export of the 'shorty' KSGs will they?

Oh well either or, I aint fussy

Oh dude, number 6 that hurts. My fingers are crossed for ya.
--- The best industry to work in is the Firearms Industry... hands down... ---
Just looking at your sig --
But counterfeiting pays better and #### has some "interesting" benefits.![]()
I know, it's like being one number off on a lottery ticket.![]()
I see all over the states that stores can't get near as many as they need. It looks like keltec is getting them out as fast as they can make them, but the demand is just huge. The reviews have been saying very positive things about the improvements they made over the prototypes, and people are going nuts for them.
Looks like kel-tec has a real home run with this firearm.I'd love to have one but i've got my eyes on a few other guns first, so i'll wait for a future batch.
Having just read this entire 100+ post thread, I must say there are some real dicks posting here. Way to come on board a dealer thread who's making available yet another product which is probably making Wendy pee her pants, and your #####ing about the retail $$$. For Fu@k sake if you dont like it dont buy it. It really doesnt get any simpler than that. Fu@k CGN never ceases to amaze me.
Me too and in a year or so hopefully we will just be able to go on line here and order one ,,in stock!
Then again maybe a savey competitor will see the demand and come up with another fantastic shotty!
There is one distributor who is the only one who Kel-tec is dealing with.
Monopolies leave as bad of a taste in my mouth as the gun control crowd.
Is it just me or should we be reluctant to by the 1st generation anything gun? Usually first generations are full of quirks. Where are people getting their info (other than nutnfancy) to know what this thing looks like inside?Just my 0.02cents.

It's not a monopoly, they're not making it hard for anyone to compete with them, it's simply a matter of no one else wanting to front the capital to make a stab at being another distributor.
It's like if you own a convenience store in a small town, you're the only place in town that sells milk, so you can really charge whatever that milk is worth to you. People that live in that town have a choice to either buy the milk from you, or drive to the Wal Mart in the next town over. The question, as it directly relates to this problem is, will the trip to the next town over cost more than it will save you on the milk?
They exist where a firm sells a product at a price well above marginal cost because competition is weak or non-existent.
Your milk example describes a spatial monopoly. Even the most conservative economists agree that this constitutes a market failure warranting intervention.
Name a handful of "conservative" (e.g., someone not a keynesian) economists that think government should intervene because my corner store has expensive milk, forcing me to either a) pay "too much" or b) spend money and time driving to a larger town to buy "cheaper" milk (as you summed it up, a spatial monopoly). That is precisely the circumstance I live in, and I don't want the government to "intervene".Even the most conservative economists agree that this constitutes a market failure warranting intervention.
