Landsborough Auctions Using deceptive AI images

I recently pulled out a parts gun (Iver Johnson Champion Break Action Single Shot) that I purchased from Landsborough in the summer auctions... when purchased, I was under the impression from the auction ad that it was a 12 gauge. Now that I've finally had time to check out the gun, it turns out its a 16 gauge. So I also will be holding back on any purchases until I sort this issue out.
Feels like the attention to detail was already beginning to fall off, before these AI images started showing up...

Just another questionable business practice to add to their list of tricks. I've had it happen where I purchase something from t&b only to get home and discover the price is listed for less online then what I had paid for the item in store. The first time I thought it was a simple mix up. Happening more than once isn't coincidence. Their solution was to offer in store credit for the difference. Keep ya coming back for more abuse to use up the credit and hopefully spend more while you're there.

Sorry to say this but...
This is the type of mindset that got Canadians a commie government even after 10 years of Cultural Revolution 2.0.
Also got you various scammers schemes rampant in this country:

Canadians gave way too much benefit of doubt on some clearly unacceptable behaviors.
You actually think the owners intentionally posted images of a "Mauserfield" Sniper? As a scam? Were you, perhaps, the guy that bid on it?

Sure.
Just like all the *mistakes* this government did were unintentional.
And there's no scammers just people don't understand laws or basic morality.

Intentional or not., if a business could make such a *mistake* then threw out excuses as "Oh well, our unpaid interns made a mistake." then this business should not be trusted either.

I received similar response, they say problem was the background removal software made it look like AI generated pics. They were ultimately ai generated using original photo as a template. The pictures were profoundly altered. Like bolt handle appearing on both side of the receiver! How could you be sure what you're bidding on???

I’d be very curious what tool they were supposedly using. Almost all background removal tools would not have made this level of alteration to the images. For that matter, any modern AI model wouldn’t have made those type of alterations unless prompted to do so.

I think what bothers me the most though is that they didn’t even take the time to look at the pictures before posting them all 😞

Reminds me of months back where they put the minimum bid so high nobody bothered to bid lmao. You might as well source your milsurps elsewhere.
