Large Game Pics - Deer, Moose, Bear...

Went hunting for the first time this year and got this guy with my Browning X-Bolt Stainless Stalker 30-06. Picking up the meat tomorrow. Was out there for a week and a half and got him on day 5 (November 22, 2014) near Grand Forks BC. Almost finished mounting the rack. A buddy of mine is making the head board.

about the only original thing in there is the breach block , everything else had been modded or changed out:>)

Moose Camp and Meat Chimes
2014 Moose Camp-Back for lunch one day.
My oldest boy out for the couple days at camp - first morning out with the dad and practicing his calls. It was some great father/son time !! Had a bull barking at us, the wolves howling at us later that morning.

My son with one of the sets of antlers. We had the animals down couple days before he come out. This is the bull I called in for one of my friends on our second morning. Had to work for this guy. I think he must of been beaten up by a bigger bull earlier.

I need to buy my boys some warmer camo clothing for this season.
When my youngest boy turns 8 (2016), he will be out at camp with the guys. By then with my hunting buddies, we will have 4-5 of the kids at camp for couple days. Right now its just 2 as it was my oldest boy's first trip.
We do a group family day trip thru the hunting area about 2 weeks prior to the actual hunting trip. Makes for a great day with a wiener roast at the camp. Gives us time to cut any logs down on the cutlines, check for sign (rut holes/fresh rubs), get some firewood ready for the firepit for the first day. All the kids have blast. 8-9 families total.

Birthday Buck 2014!! Took a great MD in Southern Saskatchewan on 3 Nov 2014, my 62nd birthday! My best Mule Deer ever at 182 5/8ths inches gross. 255 yards with my Ruger 77 Mk I in 280 Rem, 139 gr Hornady SST. Had my best friend and hunting partner Steve with me and that made it extra special as he drove over from Calgary to help me out!! Euromount was done by Orion Taxidermy in Moose Jaw and it was a great job!! Thanks guys!! Just wish I could get the pictures to post!!

another successful BC region 6 moose hunt, nothing big and very few bulls taken by other hunters in the area. we got lucky on one of the small lakes and caught this immature bull and his sidekick harassing a young cow. we could have taken both bulls but really only "needed" one for meat. Gonna be a nice tasty bull
