Wow,, I used to live on Rail Lake, that brought back memories.. I remember a grouse that i missed 11 times with my dad's .22, lol he let me take the 12th shot too.
Took my Daughter out shed hunting !!! and what a surprise found stuck in a creek .Going to get it scored any ideas, how would a mule this big be missed by any.
My first Bear. One more check off the Bucket List. Not the biggest, but a very nice hide to hang on the wall. Now that I have one notch more on the belt, I hope to see a future of bigger & better things to come. I am very happy considering this was my first bear hunt. The 450 Marlin did the trick and dropped him where he stood. Bullet went through both shoulders exiting on the opposite side. Exit wound was about 3/4-1 inch in diameter. This rifle was borrowed from a fellow CGN'er who set the hunt up for me. This was my first hunt with a lever action. It is a very nice gun to shoot. 350gr Hornady factory ammo was used. For the short period of time I had to hunt, I consider myself very lucky as I know you can spend hours in a stand and come up empty handed.
Enjoy.
