The thread title is "Large Game Pics." Not record book bucks. That being said there are lots of record-book worth animals in here, but it's more a forum for displaying your success to fellow hunters, a virtual meat pole if you will. So where are your record book animals?

Now then, what's a picture thread without some pictures?

I got this little guy on the 1st Nov. Missed on a huge 10 pointer on the first day, couldn't get a clear shot.

There's no elk hunting season in my area yet - one can dream. This guy's been hanging around Golden Lake village for weeks now. Maybe one day there'll be an open season.

Took a 3x3 at 11 AM opening morning after a series of rattling. He was inching his way through some thick stuff,I seen a good sized body, and good main beam length I was thinking he was a good 4x4.
I looked for an opening waited till he reach it,Let out a grunt and let the 7mm-08 bullet do the rest.He flipped over backwards then got up and took off like a bat outta hell.I waited 30 mins. then went down to look.Blood and hair on point of impact then nothing but some hair for about 35 yards and then the flood gates opened.the 7mm-08 had taken out his lungs.
It was the only deer the 4 of us seen that day.
He is not record breaking but meat in the freezer.

I got this fellow on the 14th. He was following a hot doe out into a field. I shoot a 35 year old Browning BLR in .308. I retrieved the 150 gr. bullet from his neck. It stopped just under the hide after hitting his spine.

A couple of buddies and I were very lucky this year. I bagged a couple of 5x5 typical whitetail bucks in muzzle loader season. One, a 148 inch and the other a 159 inch. We were only allowed one deer license in Manitoba this year, but we can also "party" hunt here by having a valid license and signing another hunter's valid license for up to a party of 4 people. I bagged my deer, and hunted with my brother, and ended up filling his tag as well. My buddies, who are brothers, also shot typical 5x5's, but in rifle season. One scoring 168, and the other 179. All four bucks were taken within 6 miles of each other. We've definitely have some good genes in the area, and even the deer do to:rolleyes:
