Last Shipment of Type 81 SR

Well I thought I would be at the range tomorrow with my Type 81, got my notice card on Friday. Got off work early went to the post office ( main depot) to pick it up today and they couldn’t find it!! someone there apparently screwed up and sent it back to Tactical. Canada post is going to try and redirect it back but probably won’t happen. How do you accidentally send it back to the sender when the notice card says it will be held for 10 days?

Update: Reached out to TI tonight and they got back to me in less than an hour, awesome customer service!! Wasn’t expecting anything till tomorrow, definitely earned my business again and they have awesome products.
They are going to send it back at no additional cost once they receive it. Guess I will be waiting to take it to the range….

What would things be like to buy later on after initial bare rifle?

Scope, mount and compensator? Will these component still be produced by any chance?

We have limited supply of scopes, but if in stock there is 1 available per rifle, so customers can always come later and get stock as long as we have stock left.

The adapter plate for scope comes with scope. We also have MasterMount picatinny side mount available as well now.

We have lots of stock on muzzle accessories

Is the SR version worth to get? i added all the add ons, it goes to 1.9k, wondering if it does worth, since says no more new SR? Or I d better to get a used 81 SE, also around 2k

It sound like you're tryng to invest not collecting if your primary consideration is holding value and not how something complements your collection.

For me, it comes together, if something is good for collet, means the value won’t drop and the product number won’t increase insanely. If it’s something you can get anytime anywhere with low cost, what’s the point to collect.

Never would have happened. The changes involved to use the x54 would necessitate different tooling which I doubt TI could convince them to do. The resulting rifle also wouldn't be a type 81 and would almost certainly require a new frt

That cartridge is niche anywhere you go. X54 is much more useful and actually available. Doesn't change the fact it's also pretty unrealistic though.

It is a rimmed cartridge. So no to your statement. 7.62x51 would be logical.

It would cost around $2,500 or more since it would require a new design. I doubt many of the people crying for it would actually buy it.
