If so, any opinions on them?

Thinking of getting one for my soon-to-be Norc M14 shorty, will probably be mounting a red-dot on it.
 
i have one. the materials are okay. not sure how it will hold up under the punishment. they use two brackets that mount underneath, along with the one screw hole already on the M14.
 
I have one on my M14... The brackets were upgraded and the screws retapped to be more heavy duty. Been solid as a rock so far on my gun. Kevin Keon does great work...

They are alluminum. The plastic you see just pops off the outside. I really like the idea of the stronger brackets, this seems to be the weakest point. Does anyone here make them?
 
I have 1 of these on my M14,i also managed to get my hands on the piece of rail that SEI makes that attaches to the stripper clip guide,so you can mount a scope while also having this hand guard installed....havent had a chance to take it to the range yet,but it seems like it will work great.Ill post some pics after.

Have one on mine since August last year, very solid, taking Sheila's abuse every time we go to the ranges, my scope still holds zero. Install was very simple, just follow the instruction that come with it. Originally made for Airsoft I think, but it suit me fine.....:D

I have a tri-rail mounted on mine, too. Actually thinking about selling it. It's barely used, only got it a month ago.

I'm going to go for a full-on mount though, instead, so if you're interested in buying mine, PM me and I'll send you extra pics and we can talk about price.

Don't know I love mine 0 issues I would think that the contue of the bands would be off. What does Fab say?

Talked to Kevin Keon about this, he said that it wouldn't be a problem to mount it to a standard or heavy contoured barrel. Now I dunno if that means that he can do it easily, or you can do it with the parts available.
 
Lee, the tri rail, as it comes, will not fit anything other than standard barrels and would rquire significant machining to fit a medium or heavy barrel.
The only forward rails I'm aware of that readily fit other than standard barrels are the Amega Ranges and Troy battle rail
