LEBARON now sells sks's

sounds like the montreal store.

I've delth with them a few times, wasnt thats bad. I usualy deal with the same guy.

Now their affiliate SAIL store in the west iland, thats an other story.

They fit all of the above and then some.

They have/had some SKS this summer. Ask to see one which
seem to annoyed the guy. Comes back with a piece of crap that looked
like someone's dog had chewed on it, then tells me he want 260$ for it !

The 1st few times I went, I had the staff following me around like I was gona steal something.

An other time, had the girl at the cash give me an attitude cause I was
buying a box of 308. Was looking at me like I was a mass murderer.

On yet an other occasion I got yeld at!

Afterward I said screw it. I'd rather take the drive to the big stores in Laval
(or Beloeuil if I'm stopping at Prefair military surplus).

Way nicer staff, more stock and good bargain bins.

If I dont have time to head for Laval I just go to LeBaron.
(usualy with a side trip to MEC)

I don't find the Ottawa store employees to be rude. They never have anything in stock, but they've atleast been polite. The old guy is even downright helpful.

EDIT: They are now in stock at the Ottawa store. The ones I saw were all refurbished, frankenpinned, blued, silver bolt. I bought one. $180 is too cheap to pass up.

bought mine at the markham store this morning (they got three hard wood and three laminate in) got to take my pick they were very kind and friendly (even had a prob with registration and called cfo to fix right away). I also called First thing and they held one for me till i got there this afternoon, when i did get there they were sold out of ammo and called mississauga to hold a case for me. When i arrived at the mississauga store the fat guy (ryan im guessing) carried it to my car as i have a back injury and was very kind and pleasant all the while. http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=441986

i would have but it was the last crate. Maybe thats why he helped me, he was happy to be rid of it :D

Looks like him, always happy to get rid of any annoyance, like work or customers.

Le barons must be a very solid business if they can keep an underachiever like this looser....

An insult and a compliment all in one

I have never encountered anyone that has been as rude to me ever as this Ryan character in over 30 years of shopping at gun stores.

Looks like the shipment arrived after I left at about 10AM

The Montreal store has ~80 SKS rifles in stock.
My buddy and I just hand picked 2 of them this morning.
I may just go back on Monday and pick up another one, laminate stock this time.

Went to the Ottawa store a few weeks ago with a list of stuff to pick up. They had a couple of items out of about 20... ffs

Mississauga LeBaron called me this morning and informed me that a small shipment came late Friday night. I went there and got lucky:D.
The customer who was going through all of them trying to make his choice missed the nicest one , no refurb mark on the receiver cover no paint on the metal anywhere , no ###x on the stock , all matching numbers including bolt ( no force matching ) , pristine laminated stock . The only nasty thing was the weld damaged mag floor , but for $244.00 taxes included this is a good deal.

been in the same situation years ago, dude ahead of me was looking thru 6 on the rack and i had to patiently wait till he is done , he finally decided on the nicest looking stock norinco and left me with the only early chinese, yippie !!!

Just curious, is an all matching numbered one worth more ?, they all seem to be priced the same, so I am a bit confused, how much this comes into play. Will it grow in value ? Are they not refurbished ?

I am going to get another, so should I be looking for all of this ?

I just want to shoot the crap out of it, or are all matching numbered ones supposed to be put in storage and to never be seen again ?

Curious minds want to know, well I do ?

Thanks

Perhaps I should have started a new thread....? If so maybe a mod can move this for me

Cheers
